It was the Wolves game that was the killer. Can't argue about any of the defeats this year as we completely deserved them & we were thoroughly outplayed but that Wolves draw was 100% in our hands and we let it slip. Those are the worst kind of results...

End of the day it's a long season, the title isn't won in November but it can be lost. The way I look at it, City have dropped 4 points in 11 games and are only 2 points clear of 2 other teams. Hoping Man Utd can fashion one of their famous Mourinho 11 men behind the ball masterclass next weekend!

I take it it's United vs City next weekend?

Next Sunday at Man City. I'd be shocked if Man Utd got anything, but fingers crossed..

But you have largely been shit and got extremely lucky on several ocassions. This is without factoring in the home defeat to Derby or the Champions League offerings. You are right that is not all doom and gloom and I do agree that the games against the Top 6 will be crucial this year, and probably where Man City will pip Liverpool to the title.

Yeah we have been largely shit but we can definitely improve as the season goes on, it's not the first time United have started a season badly but we did manage to improve on some of those occasions.

I don't think it's the games against the top 6 that will make the difference for winning the league. I would be surprised if Liverpool don't go through a spell where they lose or draw consecutive matches against mid table teams. Liverpool are just a slightly more consistent version of United from last season and are only 4 points better off than we were after 11 games.

Liverpool will have a blip at some point, just like Man City and Chelsea, but I can't see us screwing up in consecutive games. We are a different beast this season and are finding another way to match City and are being far more pragmatic.

The games against the Top 6 will make the difference, big time. I mean the other teams in the league on paper have the best squads they have ever had, but are largely managed by dinosaurs who are just out-thought tactically by the big managers. Hopefully Man Utd can improve next weekend.

I guess we'll see what happens, I to hope Man Utd can improve next weekend. I also hope Fulham can improve next weekend as well! :D

I doubt Fulham will improve next week, expecting a goal fest there from Liverpool.

If Fulham beat us or get anything out of the game next weekend, then bloody hell. Stranger things have happened I suppose.

Surely Jokanovic will be getting sacked soon? Mark Hughes can't be too far behind either.

It will take something special for Fulham to stay up, £100m spent and bottom of the table. Jokanovic will probably go this week.
Raheem Sterling has signed a new contract at Man City until 2023. Still was a traitor to Liverpool.

Neil Warnock thinks that the record for lowest amount of points to survive relegation will be broken this season, the current record is 34 points by West Brom in the 2004/05 season. I would be very surprised if that happens and I actually think that relegation is going to be the most clear cut that it's been in years, possibly the most ever! The teams at the bottom have really been exceptionally poor so far this season.

He even said that Cardiff are favourites to finish bottom of the table. While he might not be wrong there I don't think these are the kind of things that a manager should ever say to his players or to the media. It must be really demotivating to constantly hear the manager belittling them in public.

Just typical Warnock really but he's probably right re the points record. I agree with you there are so many trash teams this year I'm sure the cut-off at 17th will be very low indeed.

They way the first third of the season has almost gone, there are about 6-7 teams that are really poor. And a couple of others, over performing at the moment that could be dragged in to any relegation race. I could see a team surviving with 30-32 points this year.

So how does everyone think the City United game will end up tomorrow?
City will win and continue to show a complete lack of class and dignity in the process. Maybe their sugar daddy should launder some money through their "independent" sponsors to get past fair play rules so they can try and buy some.
I think we have a chance of beating Man City so I'm going for a win for Man United. If I'm wrong then I'm wrong!
I'd be thrilled with a draw, anything more is just sheer fantasy but this was the same mindset I had with juve so who knows!
