Maybe that just comes down to the different perceptions of United fans and Saints fans

Surely you could agree that the Saints performance today was way above what you'd expect from a team just above the relegation zone, I felt we deserved a point from that game but it wasn't to be.

Yeah I definitely agree about Southampton's performance today, I don't think you will get relegated and since the new manager came in you've improved massively. It's the damage that was done during the previous manager's time at the club that has you where you are currently in the table.

Differing perceptions to being in the stadium vs watching on a shit stream?

Your new manager suits your team. Give him a solid pre-season and I think you’ll be challenging for the 7th place trophy next year.

Come back and talk wi the grownups when youse make it more than 15mins at Old Trafford without time wasting.

3-2 flattered y’all given the ref was on your side the entire game.

Do all teams not time waste at OT when they have less resources etc, it's par to the course!

What a patronising statement at the end - you do realise they are Southampton and yous are Man united the self proclaimed biggest club in the world?!

Just before anyone says Liverpool are choking ot bottling - absolutely not. Would have liked to have got the 3 points today and we definitely should have, but that's our hardest fixtures out of the way now. Always thought it would go down to the wire and probs means we can only afford to drop points in one our remaining fixtures.
Liverpool were 7 points ahead of Manchester City not long ago, now they are behind with the same amount of games played. Looks like the bottle is on! It will probably be May when it will be complete though.

The bottle may be on and we'll be on track to finish with the 3rd or 4th highest points tally in the Premier League. Sometimes you just luck you and that's been the case every time we've been in a title race recently :D Too many draws again though, that's gotta be the improvement for next season.

There's ages to go yet though, titles are not won in March. April is the key month, if City get 9 points out of Palace (a), Man Utd (a) and Spurs (h) then fair f***s. My worry is Man utd will throw the game against City.

You are choking a lil bit tho.

No chance we're gonna throw the game to city considering how close the top 4 battle is. Arsenal & Chelsea can still qualify via Europa. We realistically only have the league.

We've only lost 1 game all season. Klopp's playing a little bit too conservatively, our problem really is we're just not taking our chances. Despire everything if you'd have said we're 1 point behind with 9 games to go at the start of the season anyone would have taken that.

You play Chelsea the game after though, could see Solsjkaer resting players, obviously just depends how tight things are but again I suspect Top 4 will go down to the wire too.

Long way to go just need to hang on to pounce when City drop points. Think they'll be beaten once more maybe - has anyone won the league after 5 defeats?? I'm sure there has!

If Liverpool finish with the 3rd or 4th highest points tally and still not win the league then it will be even worse, it will make it even funnier to opposition fans. With only 1 defeat in 29 matches Liverpool should be as far ahead of everyone as City were by this time last year.

Any game against Manchester City is a must win for us and especially when it's at home and when we need to pay them back for the match at the Eithad so I'm sure United will give 100% in that match. That match isn't going to be the one that makes the difference for the title anyway I think.

The difference between us and City though is we aren't financed by a state  Our depth is good, but we don't have the attacking quality that City do. That's where we need to improve in the summer. Every season we've improved under Klopp so I can't see that changing next season either. But still, title's are lost in March but they're not won. There's ages to go yet, this was always a tricky run for us. Least we've got a title race on our hands!

With 9 games to go every position in the top 6 has to be decided still!

Yes and it’s really irritating

Get off your high horse hun. There was nothing patronising about me statement.

The economic reality of the Prem means that there’s a gulf in resources between the top 6 and the remaining 14, therefore like in formula 1 the prize for those that step behind is 7th position aka the best of the rest. It’s highly unlikely that Southampton are going to mount a serious challenge for the prem next year, but with a solid pre-season under this manager and a smart window, they stand a good chance of being 7th because I actually rate the way he plays and the way soton were playing this week. Like Solskjaer he didn’t get a pre-season to embed his ideas and fitness standards - same with Klopp. You are limited in what you can do part the way through the season

Agree entirely.

We see 3rd as a realistic target, that means picking up every point possible.

Plus no way we deliberately lose against that shower.

A last gasp win for Watford and ruining any hopes of a point in the first game of the Rodgers regime for Leicester City.
We become the chasers now and all the pressure is on Manchester City

What do you think, do you agree with Andy Robertson or not?

Another random stat for you all:

Slavisa Jokanovic was the first player Claudio Ranieri signed as Chelsea manager. Scott Parker was the last player he signed as Chelsea manager.

Nearly 20 years later Ranieri takes over from Jokanovic as Fulham manager, only to be replaced by Scott Parker.
