Spurs seemed to play better without him earlier in the season, which was quite annoying. Can't see it having much of an impact on the top 4 battle because of that.

Unless they get an injury to Son, Spurs are guaranteed Top 4. I suspect they will end up finishing 3rd comfortably, they have a good run-in and only 2 more away games left I think. Obviously they have the City game next week which will be massive.

If Cardiff get a result against Brighton midweek, I'd back them to beat the drop at Brighton's expense. There's always one team every season that is "never in danger of the drop" that hits freefall at the wrong time, plus their fixtures are horrendous.

I can't see Cardiff doing it, there's still a 5 point gap isn't there? Even if they beat Brighton (which I don't think they will), I think Brighton have 2 games they would look to get points out which should be enough.

Yeah probably a bridge too far but a 5-0 home defeat is gonna crush their confidence & Cardiff will play will the mentality of nothing to lose. I really think Cardiff will win that game myself but as you said even if they do they'll still need another win from somewhere - will certain spur them on for their next home match against your boys at least!

Cardiff were by all accounts equally as terrible today as Brighton. I can't see where Cardiff's points come from. Brighton play at home to Newcastle and Wolves I think - you'd be targetting at least 1 win from there which I think would be enough to see them over the line.

Haven't seen any of the game but read they were again unlucky with ref decisions so they could have got a point at least!

I think they play Fulham so no reason why that can't be a win and their last game is against us. If we're out of the top 4 by then they could pull a west ham 06/07...

West Ham deserve to be in the lead against Man United. Anything other than a victory for United tonight genuinely means they can't afford to get beat from City next week.

Agreed completely^ we've been f***ing awful once again tonight. Really was our cup final that PSG game, still not convinced we'll see this out even now...

Try or no try, City will annihilate us on this evidence regardless of their fixture pile-up. I'm actually more confident for the Barca match than against City.

actually can't believe that you've won this.

Antonio has been an absolute shambles.

It's good to see United started to depend on McTominay again :D

Antonio should have scored twice! That second chance was just Super Dave once again to the rescue.

McTominay is our one shining beacon for the Nou Camp.

Antonio has been great! I've only watched the 2nd half, but West Ham have looked like the home side! I know people will point their fingers and say, results! But it's also why I think Man Utd are a couple of seasons again from a title challenge - there's no control anywhere. Fred looks a better player than Pogba, who is absolutely clueless unless he's given a free role (penalties aside).

On the bright side, they should get a spanking against Barcelona and at least it means 4th is well in their hands so they have to try against City!

It's so frustrating being a Brighton fan, even more so at the moment.. I thought we played better today than we did against Southampton where it was slow and they didn't look up for it where as the play was faster but they let themselves down in the final third!! Really is a must win game against Cardiff now as our fixtures left will be tough!!

Even if we beat Manchester City they could still end up winning the league. It's not set in stone that Liverpool will win all of their remaining league games including the one against Chelsea in a few hours time. Coincidently the Crystal Palace/Man City & Liverpool/Chelsea combination of matches happened around this time in April 5 years ago when Gerrard slipped and City took the initiative in the battle for the title.

On today's performance I hold more hope that one of our former manager's might do us a favour rather than Man Utd. I still think we'll drop points somewhere. City are on like a 15 game winning streak in the league at the moment or something daft, either the wheels come off or they win them all!

Newcastle beat them on the 29th January!

Yesterday was horrendous. I don’t know what the MEN were smoking rating Pogba a f***ing 8 for that shambles of a performance.

All over the pitch it’s too slow to do anything. Get the ball. Fanny about. Lose the ball. That’s what most of our players are doing right now. I cannot wait for this season to be over. Firesale on the deadwood and get Ole’s pre-season in. He clearly has a plan that they just aren’t fit enough to handle right now.

Palace were awful first half so much so I stopped watching at half time.

Just saw motd but West Ham looked very unlucky not to get a point!

damn city are frightening

Everyone is so shit scared of them though, so no-one has a go at them. If you let them have the ball they'll pick you off cos that's what their team is built around. Must admit I thought Palace had a chance of getting something from the game before I saw the teamsheet. City went far stronger than I thought, and when you have Benteke up front you know there is a big likelihood you're not going to score..

What a fantastic title race we have in our hands now! Surely one of us will drop some points somewhere down the line soon!?

Salah's goal was one of the best I've ever seen, worldie. Chelsea tried to do what they did in 2014, just nowhere near as efficently this time.

In my opinion this is the worst title race I've ever seen in my life! It has been a case of counting down the weeks until it ends for quite a few months now.
