14 Sonique - It Feels So Good

UK chart peak: #1 (Platinum)

Correct: Dan, vibe, Mack, Yorkie3, Theo., Dalekturret, Bjork, HarryEzra, Chez Wombat, Zarate, chrissmith276, CianS, Jade, Rush, Sarah, Riser, gavindeejay, Bré

Incorrect: Ultraviolence (Madonna - Papa Don’t Preach)

PeteFromLeeds (Tiesto)

Another #1, probably more remembered than Darius in general :P Sonique had a couple of hits in the early 00s, most of all this trance influenced banger *.* It was not only a #1 in the UK, but it broke the US top 10 and it's not hard to see why. Its beat is great for clubs and makes you want to have a bop along and Sonique's deep almost Nina Simone-esque voice gifts it a sense of grit and reality and feeling. Fun fact she was also the naming inspiration for a Season 3 Drag Race queen, when will other faves xx

Ahhh I absolutely love 'It Feels So Good', tune  once again this is exposing the gaps in my US chart knowledge as I didn't know that Sonique had charted in the top 10 over there, wow, g'won *.*
would have never guessed that one

amazed you guys all know this but don't know bjork's army of me ;)

Darius is a bit of a meme on BuzzJack due to the absurdity of him still having his own artist forum until less than a year ago. 'Colourblind' is also a bop x

'Army Of Me' is the only song here that I've never heard of, it's a massive outlier among everything else on the list so far.

one of my fav songs ever that sonique track
Ah, this is the one that bugged me the most. Could only think of Brainbug's Nightmare because of the sharp strings, but knew it wasn't that. Worst part is that I listened to this song just a couple weeks ago!

15 Florence & The Machine - Spectrum (Say My Name) (Calvin Harris Remix)

UK chart peak: #1 (Platinum)

Correct: Dan,vibe, Dircadirca, TS031, Mack, Yorkie3, Theo., Dalekturret, Bjork, HarryEzra, Dexton, Chez Wombat, Zarate, Dobbo, chrissmith276, CianS, LewisGT, Jade, Rush, Ultraviolence, Riser, gavindeejay

Half: Sarah (Calvin Harris)

Incorrect: 777666jason (JLS ft. Dev - She Makes Me Wanna)

PeteFromLeeds (Avicii)

Bré (I Know this one but it’s not coming to me x)

Yet another #1, a more recent one this time so a more correctly guessed one too! Spectrum was a highlight of Florence's album Ceremonials anyway but with a touch of Calvin Harris, this baroque pop song was turned into a pulsing dancefloor anthem that gave Florence her first number 1, which was kinda shocking at the time  You wouldn't think to pair the two together, but once it happened it was clear that Florence's booming vocals were perfect for such a soaring track!

'She Makes Me Wanna' I considered this song for the 'most guessed' question as well but glad I dodged it now, perhaps not quite as distinctive as I thought. As for the song, I think the Calvin remix improves the original 'Spectrum' tenfold so yay.

16 Ariana Grande - Into You

UK chart peak: #14 (Platinum)

Correct: Dan, Dircadirca, TS031, Mack, Yorkie3, Theo., Dalekturret, Bjork, HarryEzra, Dexton, Zarate, Dobbo, chrissmith276, CianS, LewisGT, Jade, Rush, Ultraviolence, Riser, gavindeejay

Incorrect: Sarah (will.i.am. - #thatpower)

PeteFromLeeds (Taylor Swift)

Next up is a Buzzjack fave with what is one of the best pop songs of all time  Into You is a pulsing pop banger that demands attention, with perfect writing and production from the genius that is Max Martin and a coy vocal performance from Ariana that pairs to make a perfect pop song, with a monster of a chorus that is one of THE gay anthems tbh and solidified her place as a gay icon. This not going top 10 was a ROBBERY but at least it sold well and the gays appreciate x I thought this might be more of a clean sweep, shame on whoever didn't get it tbh.

Yeah I definitely should have got 'Spectrum' but it wasn't quite clicking and I was trying to rush through  don't think I recognised the clip of 'Into You' at all though oops!
I thought that would be more of a clean sweep too just because it's such a Buzzfave :o fair enough then! One of Ariana's best songs *.*

Sorry for the break had to go help my housemate

17 Loreen - Euphoria

UK chart peak: #3 (Silver)

Correct: Dan,vibe, Dircadirca, TS031, Mack, Yorkie3, Theo., Dalekturret, Bjork, HarryEzra, Dexton, Chez Wombat, Zarate, Dobbo, chrissmith276, CianS, LewisGT, Jade, Rush, Ultraviolence, Sarah, Riser, PeteFromLeeds, gavindeejay, Bré

Of course this had to be in there :kink: The best Eurovision song EVER, this won the 2012 contest and with its on trend dance-pop production this anthem actually broke the "curse" of Eurovision songs in the UK chart by going top 3 and even being cerifited silver! This had to have such wide appeal, I'm sure everyone has seen across this site how loved it is and I am no exception but is it my absolute favourite? :o

I may or may not have guessed that as your absolute favourite :kink: good song, it was amazing to see a Eurovision song take off so much commercially *.*

I put down the next song for the most guessed of the round so hopefully that one went well

IM SO ANNOYED AT MYSELF FOR NOT GETTING CHER 'Beleive'

Yay for the ones I have got right so far I was pretty confident in most of my answers tbh.

18 Clean Bandit - Symphony

UK chart peak: #1 (2x Platinum)

Correct: Dan, vibe, Dircadirca, TS031, Yorkie3, Theo., Dalekturret, Bjork, HarryEzra, Dexton, Chez Wombat, Zarate, Dobbo, chrissmith276, CianS, LewisGT, Jade, Rush, 777666jason, Ultraviolence, Sarah, Riser, PeteFromLeeds, gavindeejay, Bré

Another widely guessed song, this time one of the biggest hits of 2017 from the new kings of chart dance Clean Bandit, Symphony. Even with as many bangers as they have, this is their absolute best track, with the soaring vocals from Zara Larsson perfectly complimented by Clean Bandit's signature strings to make such a joyful anthem that wll cheer anyone up and have you dancing and singing along, what a tune <3

Thought 'Symphony' might be worth a punt as it's fairly recent, well-liked on BuzzJack and the clip demonstrated the melody of the chorus and with strings!

19 Chase & Status - End Credits

UK chart peak: #9

Correct: Dan, vibe, TS031, Yorkie3, Theo., Dalekturret, Bjork, HarryEzra, Dexton, Chez Wombat, Zarate, Dobbo, chrissmith276, LewisGT, Jade, Rush, Riser, gavindeejay, Bré

Incorrect: Mack (Amy McDonald - This Is The Life)

PeteFromLeeds (The Kooks)

As with Pendulum, I was surprised as many people got this as they did, given it's a pretty fleeting #9 hit from nearly a decade ago, but it's such a good song so that must help it endure *.* The intro is quite recognisable too I suppose, Mack's guess of This Is The Life isn't too wild actually but for the rest of the song it is

Some incredible picks in this edition may i say! That's ones an all time fave, I think I got 20 overall but that seems like it'll be a middling score!

20 twentyonepilots - Stressed Out

UK chart peak: #12 (Platinum)

Correct: Dan, vibe, Dircadirca, TS031, Yorkie3, Theo., Dalekturret, Dexton, Zarate, Dobbo, chrissmith276, CianS, LewisGT, Jade, Rush, Ultraviolence, Riser, PeteFromLeeds, gavindeejay, Bré

Incorrect: Bjork (Imagine Dragons)

HarryEzra (Natasha Bedingfield - These Words)

Next up is one of my fave bands, a duo with an eclectic style with one of their biggest hits! The instrumental is quite distinctive and bouncy so it's no surprise a lot of people knew it. The lyrics focus on nostalgia and the pressures of being an adult compared to the ease of being a child, and are typically TOP, a fab song all in all that blends their style well with something that works commercially so there's no surprise it was a hit.
