Yeah I can imagine if you’re a proper fan!! Kate Oates could do wonders at EE imo, I think sometimes she held back a bit at Corrie because it’s more lighthearted (Phelan’s exit being an example) but EE is meant to be gritty.

2) what is lighthearted about a serial killer murdering 6+ ppl that cumulates in a siege that sees eileen nearly die?

well as I’ve said before I’ve always dipped in and out of EE as it’s never held my interest for long enough but I like to keep up with it and if nothing else is on I will watch it, I don’t see why I need to justify that :lol:

 

There are rumours that Kate Oates quit because the BGT week was watered down- eg nothing even happening until the last five minutes of Thursday, only Phelan dying etc. I’m not sure about it tbh but not long before she left she said she’d stay for another year...

Catching up on episodes... just watching Thursday's episode and how much better a character is Phil when he's a father figure to Dennis? Shame that it's just being done to make Phil seem sympathetic when Keanu and Sharon begin their affair.

I think yesterday's was about as bad as it can be without Stuart to drag it down to the unspeakable depths :lol:

As annoying as he his to us viewers, in reality Ted's an OAP who has lost his wife so it's probably a good thing that the community are very caring and hope it's sending out a good message that we should check in and care

 

Totally agree though this weeks back to being poor after somewhat improving last week.

I can see what they’re trying to do but it’s the way Ted has been written as so unlikeable. They always do this, anyone that needs help constantly acts like a c**t to try and make it more compelling.

Why are Bernadette and Patrick so concerned about Ted moving to live with his family in Australia? Why do they want to force him to live in the home he has had just over a year where his only memories are shooting bland characters and his wife dying?

Rainie is one of the best parts of the show at the moment. We need more of her, not less.
