Hey Jade!

Childish Gambino up to #1 is a nice surprise! I don't mind the song but I can't say I've gone back to it much since it was released :P

Love the new entries for Jorja & Ariana in the Top 10 *.* Blue Lights is hitting me now and I'm really liking it, The Light Is Coming is amazing too I don't get why almost everyone else on BJ is hating it  Panic Room, Shotgun , Only You and Hollywood are good too

I'm not saying that Humanz was better than The Now Now is looking to be, but I think I preferred last years album. Humility & Hollywood are great but they're also the only two features on the album as far as I can remember..

Great chart!

Hello Jade!

Great chart once again!

Suprising to see "This Is America" at #1, I like the song, but for me it is most memorable when paired with the music video.

I like the big gain for "Youngblood" though!

And the debuts that I like are: "Blue Lights", "Panic Room", "Shotgun" and "Only You"!

Great chart as always!

Hi Jade

This Is America is an amazing #1! Great to see it get Gambino his first UK hit too.

Also amazing to see The Light It Coming here. I think I might like it better than NTLTC, I don't see why most people seem to dislike it.

Nice climb for Lucid Dreams. That really hit me the other day.

Also loving the new entries for Chun-Li & Only You

Great chart :D

Hi Jade!

Yay some entries I actually know :cheer: Great to see Blue Lights enter, my favourite of the tracks I've heard from Jorja by far! Panic Room is nice as well, and I've really been enjoying Shotgun - hope it has a chance at #1!

I was actually wondering last night whether Claptone had anything new out :o Quite enjoying it, not as punchy as some of his other stuff but quite relaxing!

Great chart :D

Great chart!

Hey there Dexton :hi:

Indeed, I didn't think it would make it to #1 because of 'Girlfriend' dominating this chart for the first couple of weeks since bringing it back, but there we go, I've listened to it so much this week and it still sounds as brilliant as ever  aw at you not going back to it so much though! Glad you're liking some of the new entries however, 'Blue Lights' was such a slow burner for me as it was sent to BJSC two years ago and I didn't even point it :drama: but i totally love it now! Yayyy for another 'The Light Is Coming' fan  it's getting seriously slept on, was shocked by the amount of negativity towards it on here but I guess I can understand why with the sample being... a choice

I am liking the quality of the songs from 'The Now Now' but I think I'd agree as I prefer moments like 'Ascension', 'Saturnz Barz' and 'Strobelight' to anything we've heard so far from the new era. They just have such a high bar I guess

Hey Jade!

Great to see new entries for Jorja Smith & Au/Ra & CamelPhat!

Always look forward to seeing your chart :)

Hey there Det. Dawson :hi:

Glad that you're appreciating both of those entries! I feel like the only way is up for them. Aww, that's a very sweet thing to say, bless you!

Yay! *.* Yeah the music video definitely enhances it as the imagery is just so powerful and thought-provoking, but listening to it in isolation also does a lot for me and this week it hit me harder than ever, so it was finally its time at the top! I say finally after only four weeks of this chart being back but yeah  yessss, 'Youngblood' is creeping up on me more and more, so happy that it's doing so well for them! Glad you're liking those other songs too, thanks for commenting <3

Hey Lewis :hi:

Yay, pleased that you're a fan of 'This Is America' too! Its success here and across the pond has been most pleasing, I feel like we really slept on '3005' a few years ago so I'm glad that this has made such an impact *.* and oh yes, 'The Light Is Coming' has hit me hard since I first listened to it! Wow :o I think I still prefer 'No Tears Left To Cry' as that was such a high bar but this is amazing too, I am living for her versatility so far this era.

Yeah 'Lucid Dreams' really hit me recently too  at least it didn't take me as long as it did for 'Chun-Li' to hit me on the other hand  but finally got there with that!

Hey there Pete :hi:

Haha hooray!! Quite a few commercial new entries this week I guess. 'Blue Lights' is definitely the best thing I've heard from Jorja as well, the vocals are stunning and there's something so eerie and haunting about the production *.* yas at the Dizzee sample too  'Panic Room' is indeed brilliant, was really looking forward to more CamelPhat after loving 'Cola' and it definitely has disappointed at all! Fingers crossed for 'Shotgun' also - I hope it gets a week at the top too now that 'Solo' is having its time there.

I discovered this Claptone song on radio 1 at night and fell in love straight away, I don't know any other Claptone stuff :o what would you recommend? glad you like this one anyway! Thanks for commenting <3

My favourites are his remixes of Din Daa Daa and Liquid Spirit, although they're quite different to Birdsong so they might not be your thing!

Hi Jade,

Troy Sivan/Ariana Grande , Martin Garrix/Khalid already down

Love all new entries except Nicky Manaj, sorry

Hi!

This is America at number one!! :cheer: usually not my thing at all but it is really really good

Blue Lights is fab too! Glad to see it hit the top 40!

Birdsong is amazing  loved his whole album and Birdsong was definitely a highlight!!

YAS AT PANIC ROOM ENTERING :cheer: :cheer: all the f*** over that it's soooo good, which means it won't be a hit ffs

I finally listened to that Juice WRLD song the other day and it's actually not bad!! Has a really nice vibe and I'm so here for it smashing tbh

Sun Is Shining in that chart flashback tho

Great Chart!!

Hey Jade,

I really admire Childish Gambino, and approve of the message and the point, so great to see him on top, though Ive not yet bought it oops! Just playing Disclosure now, sounds good.

I've given in on Solo despite the annoying vocal gymnastic bits and have now bought it and charted it  Ditto George Ezra, very jolly.

Yay at Panic Room entering high, the rhythms are fab even if the melody is low key. Ciggis after Sex is as moody and nice as usual, and I need to check out the new Gorillaz track a bit closer

great stuff :)

cheers

john

Heyy Jade

Yaass Blue Lights, definitely her best, at least that made the album after she weirdly cut off her one other actual hit/other best song

Fab to see Shotgun enter too, that's really hitting me blasting it in this weather

TIA is ofc a fab number 1!

Ah okay, interesting ;o I'll give them a listen nevertheless as I am keen to hear more!

Hey there Sven :hi:

Oops, those are mainly casualties of so many new entries here :kink: still both fab songs though of course *.* glad you're into most of the new entries here! I dismissed 'Chun-Li' as average for months so fair enough, it randomly clicked with me the other day so I'm extremely late to it

Great Chart!!

Hey there Jeff :hi:

Indeed it is *.* I found myself looping it a lot after it came on shuffle last week and that sealed the deal  glad you're into it even though that kind of stuff usually isn't your thing, it's just too powerful to ignore! I was so pleased to see 'Blue Lights' hitting the top 40 also, yay for that actually making the album unlike poor brave 'Let You Down' :kink:

Ooh yes I looked on last.fm to see if any BJ people had scrobbled 'Birdsong' and saw that you had and was like yasss *.* must check out the whole album as I can't get enough of 'Birdsong' now, since hearing it on late night radio 1! and omg yes 'Panic Room' is everything at the moment, I'm a tad late to it but am addicted now, easily coming for a climb <3 ugh :( I miss the days when loads of good dance music was constantly charting, bring back 2014 x

Excellent, I agree that the vibe is wonderful, the sample alone is super calming tbh. Hopefully it keeps on climbing officially! and omg I wish 'Sun Is Shining' had been pushed more, I was all over that at the time

Hey there John :hi:

Aw that's fab to hear, he seems like a great guy and I've loved everything I've heard from him, I need to delve further into his discography really! The message is incredibly important so I applaud him for tackling that issue in such a way. I haven't bought it either (or anything for a while... oops), better use an iTunes voucher that I have lying around soon :kink: glad that you like the Disclosure song, it's a very interesting switch-up for them!

Haha yes I've just seen in your chart, hooray *.* both of those songs you mention are summer essentials!

I agree that the 'Panic Room' rhythms are fab  can see why it's a huge BuzzJack favourite! and yes 'Crush' is very Cigarettes After Sex by numbers, but that is no bad thing when their formula is so appealing <3 hope you'll like the Gorillaz song! It's not hitting me quite as much as the Snoop collab on Plastic Beach but still solid.

Hey there LiLi :hi:

Omg yes, I totally agree that it's the best thing she's ever done  I was a total fool for completely snubbing it during BJSC  #commercialhoe :kink: indeed, that was a very odd decision :') poor brave Stormzy x

Woo, it's looking like the weather is going to be nice all week so I'll definitely have to listen to it in the sun as well! I'm so pleased that George has given us 'Paradise' and 'Shotgun' now as I couldn't get into 'Don't Matter Now', such a turnaround

Haha I thought you would approve of that *.* one of the most important and powerful songs of the year so far. <3

I just noticed your nuggets signature as well, that is awesome!

Great chart this week!
