Interesting it’s not been playlisted by R2 when she launched the song on zoe Ball’s Show last week - as above at the moment I’m treating this as a buzz track/thanks to the fans.

 

Let’s face it she doesn’t need new material to sell a Greatest Hits rammed full of hits.

 

I don't really view it as a proper single either since there's literally no effort being made to go into this - tour video, a plucked track from the initial Golden sessions etc.

 

Or maybe it's because I just don't like it very much and would rather that it fades into obscurity.

She tweeted she had been doing interviews the other day about the album and bonus track New York City.....

Glad we have been given some kind of video for it!

I agree! I really like it! Makes me reminisce about the tour and it heightens the fun factor of the song.

Enters at #26 on the download chart - always makes me sad when I see this though as once again she’s missed the Top 100 whilst doing well on paid for sales.

She was higher than i expected on the download chart.

If the Top 200 chart was still in place, i wonder would it have made it.

it looks like a usual slow week by week release lol. remixes should come soon, wondering if an EP will also come with a couple of new songs while we wait for Greatest Hits..... wouldnt suprise me

If the Top 200 chart was still in place, i wonder would it have made it.

I think it would have missed the top 200, because NYC is outside Independent Top 50 which is based not just on sales but on streams, too. Only top 10 - 15 indie songs make it to the top 100, so NYC might be around position 300 or even worse.

 

We only have a top 100 since ACR came about, so anything below that doesn't exist anymore.

 

Would #26 on the paid for sales chart be less than 1,000 copies do you think?

I think it’s definately finished in terms of potential chart activity although I hope we get remixes.

Its disappointing that less than 1000 people bought it. I thought she had a bigger core fan base that would just automatically buy in the uk.

Mabel at #25 on sales sold 1,743 downloads while Mark & Miley at #29 sold 1,396, so it's not quite as bad as that thankfully!
