VMAs performance really was something  Glad that it made the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 too, #8 peak *.*

I'd actually say one of her most underrated tbh. I was suprised it wasn't #1, but I guess people weren't ready for the religious references.
I wouldn't have expected this to go to #1 if 'Tears' couldn't, but I still adore this so much. It's infinitely better than anything from the new era anyway.

That's a good point, I'm still in shock 'Tears couldn't.

I think this might be my favourite from her too.

Definitely her best visual.

Also on a random note this was performed on the voice uk tonight by a male contestant.

Did he change the lyrics to "God is a man"?

I saw a lil bit of the performance (it was pretty bland tbh) butttt he did change the lyrics to "I'll believe God is a woman"

The performance was Ok as far as covers go. It felt strange hearing a Male take. The chorus did change to I’ll believe God is a woman though.

Can't believe it's been a year since this already. :0

Great tune but I haven't revisited as much as the other singles of Sweetener.

1 year :o wow! I remember not being sure on this at first but it quickly wormed its way up in my affections, particularly that final chorus

This was the most instant sweetener track for me. I instantly adored it.

The video is her all time best visual as well.

The song is a total 10/10 too! My second favourite Ari track ever.

I think that performance is my favourite ever Ariana awards show performance tbh.

The whole package just worked and it really showed how far she’d come as a live performer being able to captivate and command attention from the audience. I was blown away when I first seen that as she’d always impressed vocally live but sometimes looked quite scared when doing things like choreography but this changed all of that.

Yeah it has so much replay-ability factor  'thank u, next' on Ellen is another recent fave.

In other 'God is a woman' news, a lawsuit has been dropped against the music video. https://pitchfork.com/news/ariana-grande-go...awsuit-dropped/

The reason? Well, this similarity to a painting during some scenes in the video...
