I never knew Kylie wrote Cheryl's new song 'Love Made Me Do It' :o

Golden reject.

Interesting! I had the impression it was specifically for Cheryl as the media made a point of her and Nicolas Roberts writing together, so I wonder how Kylie came into the picture. Maybe it was originally for Golden pre-Nashville?
I think a lot of "artists" after a song is written seem to claim that the song was written for them and they helped (by changing one lyric) but I doubt 'Love Made Me Do It' was intended for Cheryl at all but if it was announced that it wasn't intended for Cheryl at all, the song would lose a lot of hype as there was omg Cheryl wrote this about liam etc.

These are the writers apparently;

Writer(s): NICOLA ROBERTS, GEORGE ASTASIO, NATASHA ANNE BEDINGFIELD, JON SHAVE, MIRANDA ELEANOR DE FONBRUN COOPER, JASON PEBWORTH, DYLAN COOPER, CHERYL TWEEDY

Writers Astasio, George; Pebworth, Jason Andrew; (Bedingfield, Natasha); (Cooper, Miranda Eleanor De Fonbrun); (Cole, Cheryl Ann); (Roberts, Nicola Maria); (Shave, Jonathan Christopher); (Cooper, Dylan); (Minogue, Kylie Ann)

from universal website.

Just searched Cheryl and Kylie on Google and apparently Crazy Stupid Love was meant for Kylie before Roc Nation declined it for being "too pop" and they wanted the album to have a "cool R&B edge" (lol, they really managed that!).

Going by the long list of writers I just assume it passed through several hands.

As other people have said, Cheryl's writing credit is probably down to "change a word, take a third" - they clearly pushed the narrative that she wrote it as a way to get publicity from her split. Either way, I'm glad Kylie rejected it as it's a tuneless mess...

So basically 3 songwriters and everyone in brackets basically changed a word and claimed songwriting credits

That is good for this album considering the chart gets tougher and tough this time of year.

2.5 per week would be great until the end of the year.

Sales has ended on her official store...Amazon Deluxe back up to normal price but standard still a fiver.
It shouldn't affect too much and if we get mids today it will give a good indication of where the album will end up this week.
