Eminem's surprise release Kamikaze will surely give the rapper his ninth consecutive #1 album. Passenger could score his fifth Top 5 album with Runaway, Troye Sivan's Bloom will far surpass Blue Neighbourhood's #44 peak, while upcoming punk band Idles look to make a splash with Joy As An Act of Resistance. Really don’t see why he didn’t release more singles from the last album instead of this (or at least hold this back a bit to do that). Might get a good streaming week, but can’t see this doing that much overall. Will be like (almost) all the other rap albums released this year with a good first week thanks to streaming, then drop quick.

Very clever to release out of the blue so soon and neutralize the Revival era. Kamikaze had a better 1st day on streaming than Revival.

Arctic Monkeys should think about doing the same next year.

It was a shame that we only really got two proper singles from 'Revival', and "River" was/is just dire. Hoping this era can do well for him.

 

Fingers crossed Calvin & Sam can hit #1 this week - I'd like it to get at least one week at the summit before something else swoops in (who knows what'll come out of the blue anymore).
