This reads to me as Syco/Modest/whoever not being particularly impressed with the Instagram post and feeling the need to intervene by having them issue a fluffy sounding statement, as a means of damage control. Not that I really think there's been any particular damage, but Little Mix getting involved in the way they did in the first place was... kind of unnecessary. I can't help but think though that "We love and respect both Nicki and Cardi B / We have nothing but love and positivity for both Nicki and Cardi" comes across a bit fake mere hours after "Sorry Cardi hun" :lol:

I thought LM were above all the passive aggressive hun etc, as Jay says that statement they just put out doesn’t feel genuine at all.

 

Nicki shading their whole discography though :’) I wonder if they’re wishing Cardi had said yes after all lol.

Nicki has beef with every single female rapper - it’s all just fake, set up by her/her label/other rappers label. Lady Leshurr said a major US record label was going to sign her a few years ago and set her up to have beef with Nicki.

 

It’s so tiring and dull, I don’t know how people can be invested :lol:

She is killing the game right now! And she completely destroyed Nicki, exposed all her lies and clocked with receipts, so sit down.

Hen, Cardi B is making herself look laughable with almost everything involving Nicki recently, she's coming across a lot of the time as desperate (Nicki does too) but even with this latest scandal, why is it necessary to continue to try and cause more beef, I just don't see why she doesn't just focus on her music instead of constantly having to find ways to talk about Nicki right now, also Cardi is coming across a huge liar right now too, wouldn't say there's not any winners but if I had to pick a team, I'm team Nicki and that's coming from a non delusional fan and a fan of both of their music.

Their IG post is very us on the forum tbh, so I don't see anything particularly wrong with it as it seemed quite tongue in cheek. I imagine the 2nd one was just the "formal" way of approaching things that their label told them to do.

Both parties are horrendous right now. Ive never liked Cardi's music much and found her personality quite irritating (unpopular opinion it seems coz she has a great laugh and makes random silly noises etc..)

 

Nicki... she's just a hot f***ing mess. Lmao. She really needs someone to take control of her social media rn. The pressure of having someone similar and succeeding is really getting to her.

It actually stemmed front Cardi’s sister bringing it up again slamming Nicki and Nicki’s friend (the one who got in a fight with Cardi) then Nicki responded on her radio show then obviously Cardi .The whole is a damn mess though but get that promo Little Mix lol .

Desperate for what, tho? As I've said - she's slaying the charts right now. #1 for the 6th week in a row in America, something Nicki failed to achieve during the past 10 years. How is Cardi coming across as a "huge liar"? What did she lie about? No way she could've known who did LM send the demo first. She simply guessed it was her since she declined it and then saw Nicki on it, which makes sense. Also check Cardi's instagram, she exposed Nicki for lying about 21 Savage. They are both being messy in this situation but Cardi is clearly the one who is right.

 

This is a 3rd week Nicki's been talking shit about Cardi on Queen Radio. She always starts the beef over and over again.

 

Anyways, glad LM got the #1 on Spotify. Looks like it will be a close battle.

Now that it’s proven to be a grower and holding steady, I wouldn’t be surprised if this week isn’t the end all be all. By the end of this week it’ll only be two weeks to the album, and we know of atleast one planned TV performance for the song during that time.

Cardi clearly doesn't realise she locked herself out of a collab with an act like LM who have a younger fanbase by her actions starting a fight and getting kicked out of a high class event. She's clearly shown herself to be a loose cannon. Furthermore she may be flavour of the month but she doesn't have the contacts and power that Nicki does to open doors. No brainer which of the two is the longterm investment.

 

Tbh not surprised that LM had words to say about Cardi too. The way she used the insta post in the first place to use them as a pawn was I thought pretty disrespectful. She didn't seem cut up to not be on the single or to even know who the girls were, didn't even pretend to be a fan. Quite possible they have spoken on conference call or something and the girls didn't like her attitude.

 

Cardi is in over her head and her 'evidence' stacks up to nothing. Seriously I wouldn't put it past her thinking that because she received an email as part of a round robin or cc that she got it 'first'.

 

Anyway back to Woman Like Me the video is great but Nicki looks terrible in it, the male gaziness of that shot messes with the video message a bit I think. Still nice the girls got to collab with a fave and would be good to see this hit #1 UK for them and maybe even do something stateside :')
