October 3, 20186 yr Mairead :( Gutted about that result tonight, although Dan's face at the end when she opened the door was priceless! As iconic as Mairead is, she definitely was getting a bit heavy-handed with the flirting. If she'd toned it down a bit it almost definitely would've been Scotty blocked instead, which would've been pretty inconsequential. He'll probably be next to go anyway. Finding Precious pretty tedious to watch too. She probably could have been quite an interesting character, but instead she's just latching onto Scotty, and with little game plan besides awkward flirting / sexting.
October 3, 20186 yr I can't see Precious lasting long - tedious in the extreme and When the next ratings happen I can see Sian gunning for her (assuming she stays in the top 2) Freddie gets worse by the episode; actually horrific so funny Harry is questioning him :D
October 3, 20186 yr Best case scenario for the next rating would be Dan and Harry as influencers. They’d turf Freddie out, I reckon. Sian always backing Freddie makes her come across as really thick.

Harry being an influencer next is probably a good shout as he doesn't seem the type of person that would get people's backs up. Although saying that if he pursues Freddie with the being gay thing and not straight I guess he could create some enemies.
October 3, 20186 yr Author Sian is very much like one of those Big Brother contestants who coasts to the end because nobody really ever nominates her and did very little to deserve being in there, or someone who'd go in Love Island on a Monday and be gone in Friday's dumping having had 2 minutes of airtime because nobody bothering to pick her  I think in a game like this that's probably a solid way to go about at least getting pretty far, but she just seems so thick and like she hasn't really done a lot to deserve winning. Always being like "Freddie is sooo jokes!1!1!1" when he is nasty af about people is quite telling. I can't really see past her winning unless we vote and even then I'd have no idea how it'd go, I can see it just being a rating to win or something as otherwise that'd be changing the whole game and kind of make the whole thing pointless because obviously we know everything so it's not just based on the game inside The Circle. Fingers crossed Harry plays it well and doesn't go in all guns blazing over Freddie or he's going to have the curse of the newbie and get shoved straight out, if he gets in with Dan and "Kate" for example and he's influencer with Dan, Freddie could actually be gone. Dan shirtless on last night's ep tho *.* Caught up on last night's and ngl it's getting a bit boring that the women are all SO desperate for which guy likes them, like Freddie is an awful awful person but at least if he won he did something to deserve it. It's really getting boring that Sian and now Precious seem to think that they're on Love Island scrambling for any guy who'll give them a bit of attention.
October 4, 20186 yr The only thing I’m struggling with at the moment is how it only takes one look at Freddie’s profile for Harry to work out that he doesn’t look straight, yet the rest of them haven’t batted an eyelid. Fair enough you can’t judge a book by its cover, but you’d think, considering she’s closest to him in there, at least Sian would be a bit more switched on...
October 4, 20186 yr Author The way Freddie and Sian interact is so gay best friend too, calling her bestie all the time  I know it's easy to say when we see actual Freddie on screen acting the way he does but I'm surprised it hasn't rang alarm bells that he's acting *too* straight almost, like forcing himself right into the character, like instead of it just being lke "she's fit" he goes way OTT to really consolidate the fact he is gay, if it was me and I knew I was on the show to win money and there might be people lying to do so, I'd be suspicious for sure (probably paranoid af about everyone).

Harry did have 4 photos to work off though and Freddie's pictures have become camper and more on the gay side than that first picture. So I guess that could help him... But I do think some of the things he says 'hey bestie' etc just screams gay IMO. Although it probably doesn't help we hear him say it so we can hear the intonations and the voice. It's the part in his bio also where he says 'I love the ladies' - I don't think any of the straight ones have put anything of the sort in their bio? I think for the most part he has done well at playing the character (in a plain text format), but there's certain things he does push the envelope a bit with that I'd probably question him on. I'm glad Harry's suspicious of Freddie because at the moment he seems like the only one with his head screwed on, but I feel like if he pursues it any further the group are maybe going to turn on him (Scotty and Sian) and get him sent home. :( Precious is absolutely unbearable! :drama: I'm probably being biased because I do love Sian, but Precious is just coming across as such a stuck-up, jealous, bitchy person? Praying she'll be next to go, but the others' opinions seem to be pretty muted / neutral.
October 4, 20186 yr I'm sure Precious will be the next to go... although I'm sure Kate is going to go before the end, there's only so long Alex can keep it up and Mairead raising her suspicions to Dan may be the nail in her blocking
October 4, 20186 yr I’m surprised no ones found it odd that Freddie ‘loves the ladies’ but hasn’t tried it on with ANY girl in the game at all. If he was as much a ‘lad’ as he claims to be, why isn’t he flirting with Sian instead of settling for ‘bestie’. Why hasn’t anyone picked up on that?
October 5, 20186 yr Author I think I'm kinda glad this is ending now, the format is still really interesting and it heated up a lot and got addictive but it's getting really predictable and Sian is annoying me almost as much as Freddie by being SUCH an utter bore, yet I can't see past her winning (depends how they do it, but I imagine it's just going to be a rating again), so it feels like there's little point to these last couple of episodes  This super-influencer thing could be really interesting if it wasn't so obvious it'll be her and she'll block Alex/Kate, who has admittedly cooled down too much on the game front and has coasted a bit as he is for a fair while, he's been pretty lucky that Sian has never been influencer with Freddie so Dan has always been able to step in and save him. As much as I hate Freddie, he's the only one who's really doing anything in terms of the game, but even then there are huge holes in his game and it's baffling that they haven't been spotted, his bio is an excellent example. He is saying what he *thinks* are the right things but it is the sort of stuff people say sarcastically to mock these kinds of lads, plus he isn't really taking action whereas you see basically every guy who's gone in there fawning over Sian, Hannah etc. at some point. I can't believe it took this long for someone to see it and it's a newbie with no chance! Idk if Sian does see it and just doesn't really care to challenge him because she's not fussed as long as she has her "bestie" and a boy to fawn over on the side... I know it's really easy to say when they only see his words written, but it comes off like when we had an alias thing on here and I tried to be some awful lad character with all the cliches which was so transparent  I think they're all probably too busy fawning over the next love target to care apart from Kate/Alex and idk what his excuse but as I said he's really taken his eye off the ball. I think I'm just disappointed mostly that this could be such a great social experiment, and it mostly was, I loved the headf*** and games of the first week or two where there was paranoia and they were all trying to figure each other out, I think they've got comfortable and complacent and feel more safe so that's gone and as of late it's verging a bit too much into Love Island sort of territory, who fancies who and arguing over it, not helped by adding newbies like Precious, Hannah and Scotty who feel like rejects of Love Island and have added nothing apart from arguing over "romances" (or lack of, just boring flirting). Now I don't mean that in a derogatory way because LI is great, but it does what it does so well that other shows sort of verge into it a bit much and lose what they're about. I mean there's £50,000 at stake, I wish more of them were really ruthless with it and played the game rather than treating it like a little holiday apartment. Anyone who has had a bit of a fire or has played something apart from Freddie and Kate/Alex have been blocked (and even then the latter has really dipped in terms of game). Idk it might just be me with this gripe but it could be such a good ruthless, strategic gameshow and shed light on how we interact on social media but it's just gone a bit... trashy for want of a better word. This can be a problem with a lot of reality series, casting the wrong people who when it gets down to it don't really play the game at hand and towards the end it can dry up a bit as a result. I know they've angled it a bit towards "catfishing" which tends to be a dating thing so I suppose I should've seen the signs, idk if they necessarily knew what they wanted it to be exactly (hence the lack of info pre-launch, although they could have been so the air of mystery made people tune in) and it could have gone either way and this is how it's evolved, I'm just a bit disappointed generally in these past few days so it's a weak end to a solid oddly addicting series on the whole. I am keeping at it though, given that it's the last couple of episodes and the finale should be really interesting as I have no idea how they'll do it, will it be like a "jury" of the blocked contestants balancing their experience in The Circle with what's been on TV, or the top 3 or 4 left in the final, rating each other, or whatever else? I can't imagine it being a public vote as that would go against the whole game and the way it's been so far, I have no idea how it'll go so I'm interested to see and will actually for once put this ahead of BB as it's the live final :kink:
October 5, 20186 yr I can't see Sian blocking Kate if she is the super influencer to be honest. She's constantly said that they've built bridges and have become friends, so I think the only person I could see her blocking is Scotty (or maybe Harry if she doesn't feel as close to him as some of the others)? If Freddie was, by some miracle, the influencer it'd definitely be Dan or Kate gone because as you say he does seem to be focusing solely on his game plan now and how he's coming across to the rest of the group, but given his recent ratings I doubt it'll be him. I'm just glad Precious is gone. Causing drama with Sian over the name of a bloody yoga position... :drama: Really looking forward to tomorrow's episode either way though! *.*
October 6, 20186 yr Author As well as the winner of the £50,000, there'll be a vote for the public's favourite who gets £25,000 as announced on Instagram! They also said "the players will pick the winner", idk if that means the ones who are left (I assume the top 4 as someone will probably be blocked on Sunday) or the ones who've always been there, I assume the ones left (as that keeps the game as just what's in The Circle, the other ones will obv have gone home and watched) in which case I can't see past Sian unless there's some last minute coup for strategy in which Dan and Kate team up and conspire to give her 1 star rating  I think Sian will probably win the fan fave too ffs, her or Dan I imagine. This beat Big Brother for the first time yesterday also! If they are to do a 2nd series, which I hope they do as it'd be even more of a great show with some bits ironed out, I hope they don't tell us the ratings every time and just say who's the influencer or maybe do it anonymously the whole time which would be interesting. It's gotten a bit predictable with Sian being influencer (or highest rated the time there was an instant blocking) pretty much every time for the past few. It might add a new element to the game and some paranoia or suspicion if it was always like the super influencer thing, and that headf*** is what I've enjoyed about this show most so I'd love more of that.
October 6, 20186 yr Author Just caught up on yesterday and SHOOT ME but I think I wouldn't be opposed if Freddie were to win now?! He's been really irritating and horrible at points but when you look at it, he's the only one who's really pushed for the win this whole time and done what he has to do (even if he's got some holes in his plan, it's his luck that the others don't notice them ). Scotty and Freddie's meeting was lovely too <3
October 6, 20186 yr I wonder if this will get renewed? It's only rating 350-750k in the overnights (which is terrible for C4!) and loses to Big Brother every single night, but 35% of its viewers come from the 16-32 year old demographic which is what they're aiming for? My guess is that it will get renewed, but it will move to E4.
October 6, 20186 yr I can't really see past Sian winning at this point either unless she is blindsided by Kate and Dan (Dan would definitely team up with Kate before Sian, surely?). If not, I feel like it'd be great to see Kate win as Alex has pretty much played the game perfectly. Unless Dan gets blocked and isn't there to defend him, I feel like any suspicions he has about Kate are always going to be sidelined for how he 'feels'.
October 7, 20186 yr Knew Harry was going to end up getting blocked. Gutted for him since a final of him, Sian, Dan and Kate would have been great, but at least he went to see Freddie and confirmed his suspicions. At this stage I'll be happy with any of Sian, Dan or Alex/Kate winning as they're all genuinely nice people. With Harry tonight, Freddie was a lot like he was with Kate when he wouldn't stop going on about her or making jibes/vile comments about her. He's played a good game to get as far as he has, but for the person that he is there are others that deserve it a lot more.
October 8, 20186 yr Author Really predictable blocking, I wish at this point they'd have been a bit more ruthless and all rate Sian or Freddie down and get out some competition. Harry was never going to win or anything.
October 8, 20186 yr Looking on another forum this beat BB last night too - seems to be steadily building up its support. I guess as its near the final time, but usually shows seem to tail off viewership. This seems to be doing the opposite. Hope it gets a 2nd series. I guess also will be interesting to see if BB gets a slight bump up with the Circle no longer being in competition after this eve
