I would reduce the cassette to £10 or add an offer 2 for £20 and sign a few also to add longevity

Those streaming sales are concerning sadly. It's Spotify she is struggling with as Apple she is streaming 29th which isn't bad.

Capaldi us back number 1 on Itunes and amazon and his streaming will be huge.

She is 12,000 ahead with 3 day of sales left, it should be enough but Capaldi streaming may make it close.

I am interested to see how they are going to continue this campaign until Xmas. ...

As much as she is in the news etc who is going to buy this week after week without anything new? I am hoping she sells around 5k in week 2 and keeps top 20. If she is only selling 427 on opening week of streaming in opening week then this will hurt her in the charts lower down.

Let's see. I hope she releases different versions maybe of some of the songs and swaps then in digital format / streaming format like Mousse T remixes.

Adding a Golden/Glastonbury dvd to a Greatest Hits for Xmas will probably be the way forwaRd.

Or announcing an Arena tour of 8 dates and selling the album with tickets could also work well

Yes with the amount of cassettes available this time I feel they missed an opportunity not to offer the full collection for a special bundle price (I got them all as part of the main bundle but they could have offered a separate one), with a £15 price tag they are only ever going to appeal short term to a niche part of Kylie’s fan base so now they need to encourage further sales.

Bjork has released all of her albums on cassette and is offering them all at a reduced price for buying everything.

I guess they can reduce them at a later time to generate a few more sales in the coming weeks...

Yes they reduced the standard cassettes of Golden for Black Friday which shifted some. They seriously need to reduce the Christmas silver edition of Golden - it’s still available for £10

I see you worry too much, she is back to number 1 on itunes and she will comfortably be nbr 1 on the OC come friday...

Yes easily #1 now - time to celebrate Kylie achieving her 7th UK #1 and moving into the Top 10 of acts with most #1s :cheer:

Current Stats -

Amazon

Standard CD #2

Deluxe CD #6

Green Vinyl #13

Standard Vinyl #193 (This moved up about 300 places after it was included in her insta story)

iTunes #2

Apple Music #29

It's a shame Into the Blue wasn't included :( I think it's the biggest glaring omission. It would have been nice for every studio album (non-Christmas) to have been represented by at least one single.

Thanks Liam! So 2,602 Golden cassettes in the first week. That rose to 2,847 copies by 25 July 2018.

I'm pretty impressed that Step Back in Time cassette sales amount to 2k actually. I know a fair few fans will have bought all 5 for the sake of their collections, but I feel like the current price of one cassette (£15, but £20 with postage) is a bit too much to attract casual sales for it. The original Golden cassette was only £5 (or £7.50 with postage), and as aeroco pointed out there were some signed copies put on sale too. Even if Step Back in Time cassette sales don't reach Golden's, they're certainly generating more money!

Apparently there were a 1000 signed copies. That’s huge.

SBIT is seriously bringing in the £££

For now the Mint Green Vinyl is a bargain...they can save the discounts for the future.

Absolutely - what a money spinner Kylie is for BMG.

BMG are one of them most successful new music companies and it’s easy to see why - in an industry dominated by streams they have signed acts that can sell high priced physicals and obsolete formats.

They know how to handle the older artists and clearly understand that streaming isnt their market. They also seem to understand what fans want.

Absolutely amazing result :cheer: I just ordered an extra copy of the green vinyl from Amazon for delivery tonight so an extra sale for tomorrow’s update

Could end the week 35k?!

I don't know if Jay has mentioned anywhere, but it seems about 40% of A Step's streaming sales are being attached to the Abby Road Sessions instead of A Step. It's about 400 missing streaming sales to be precise. Probably due to the ownership of the tracks and Parlophone

Thanks for that, Joe. I did suspect this could be the case when I saw The Abbey Road Sessions had sneaked into the Top 200 mids today, although I thought maybe this was just an error and streaming was continuing to be added to that album as I assume it would have been prior to the release of Step Back in Time (due to TARS, presumably, being the most physically bought of Kylie's greatest hits collections).

I'm not sure if it's a mistake that they're there or its the only way for the streams to be credited, but either way, I'm glad A Step Back in Time's streams aren't as weak as the look at a glance. over 1k stream sales is pretty decent for her.
Interesting re the streams but either way that’s a good rise in daily sales for both artists. Fingers crossed for 32k minimum by Friday.
Absolutely incredible that in 2019 Kylie is managing to shift 30k+ copies of a GH - a seemingly dead concept since the introduction of streaming.
Shes #1 in the australia midweek too

Really hope she holds on over there - would be amazing for her to get two back to back #1s in the UK and Australia.

From SayHey - The album is #19 in the German mids (Usually a stronger market for Kylie - Golden reached #3).
