We've had it for a few hours now so...

 

What are your first impressions of 'Woman Like Me'? Is it a BANGER? Is it a BOP? Is it DISAPPOINTING? Do you HATE IT?

 

Where do you stand with it currently?

For me: Brilliant.

 

I feel like it's classic LM with a fresh spin on it (for them at least). I'm addicted to it!

First impression was; 'I like it, don't love it. Think it'll grow.'

 

But then I listened to it 4000 more times....

With three listens disappointingly rubbish (doubt I’ll go back)

same here with the original opinion being "I like it...think it'll grow" and now fully on "brilliant"

 

if the Nicki rap was better itd be "one of their best singles"

Yeah, echoing most of the responses in here. I just liked it at first but full-on bopping now. Adore the prechorus and Leigh's verse. I love that Jesy actually manages to pull off the takeaway line despite it being objectively horrible.

Feels like a grower.. it's OK.

 

The chorus is bothering me, wish it was an actual pop explosive chorus that's their signature thing.

Definitely a grower which we aren't used to from them, I think it grew quicker than it would have because of hearing the demo, I listened to that a few times and was really excited thinking of how it'd sound with the girls and Nicki on it, so it only took 2 or 3 listens for me to be like "yaaaaass b o p", so I went with brilliant. It's not one of their best but very very good.

I didn't like Shout Out To My Ex that much at first. So sue me. :lol:

Nicki Minaj’s part is too long. The radio edit without her is better.

i don't think i like it at all! :( it just sounds DONE already. little mix always managed for me to make songs sound so distinctive because of their vocals, but this sounds like it could be by anyone.

None of the above. I can't say I dislike it as such but, as others have said, it's a sound that's been done before and done much better. Really could be anyone on the song. It's just 'okay', not likely to grow, disappointing yes but not 'rubbish'.

It hasn’t clicked with me at all I thought it was because Nicki was on a large chunk of the song but even without her I’m not sold on it. i think it’s more for Jess tbh I can imagine her doing the track better on her own.

 

I’m confident their album will have better tracks though.

I voted "It's so good". I'll wait and see whether the music video could push me into thinking it's brilliant.
