All of the performances are also here, from the jury final

KATE'S STAGING !!!!!! For some reason the Eurofans seem to hate it and are spaffing over 2000 and Whatever, I wouldn't hate the latter but it has to be Zero Gravity or On My Way for me. OMW doesn't have the impressive staging or big performance but I'd assume "casuals" watching are going to be most taken by Sheppard, as easily the biggest name and the most accessible song that sounds most like a modern pop hit.

holy crap, this was epic. Incredible staging. The background dancer ("swinger" :D ) is a very nice touch.

yeah I don't get the Electric Fields appeal. I mean they seem interesting but what is that song even
Electric Fields did seem the most likely winner going into today but they seem to have slipped back to third favourites after a poor running order and what I find is quite a bland stage performance. Kate now seems like the likely winner, with Sheppard picking up the pieces if either the jury or public find Kate too bizarre... but I think she'll get it. I'm desperate for Sheppard though :(
KATE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She got the jury and televote *.*
Iconic *.* as great as it would have been to see Sheppard there, her song and performance were beyond incredible. I really hope Europe loves it too.

SBS pulled off such a great show as well, knocked it out of the park on their first try! Myf and Joel were hilarious, great hosts, I thought every performance was great whether I liked the song and they didn't stretch it out too long. Of course they have to have the obligatory filler while they count the votes, but the little skits in place of adverts were fun enough for that.

Plus my fave confirmed entry by far by quite some way won so I can't grumble! I preferred On My Way as a song but Zero Gravity is such a spectacle, I wasn't expecting it to actually win either!

Congrats to Kate, amazing song! Wonder how Courtney did.

4th on the televote and iirc 6th or 7th on the jury, something like that

Top 3 on the jury and televote was the same, Kate/Electric Fields/Sheppard in that order. I really thought Sheppard had the televote on name!

It kinda reminds me of that Operatic guy who sang 'It's My Life' a few years back.

But very interesting song on first listen. I'm sure it's gonna do v well just for being different. Her voice is gonna grate on me I think (on a personal level) but I can see why it was chosen.

I’m so excited by this news!!!! I adore Kate MH so it’s great to see her get a huge stage like Eurovision to get her some much needed European exposure

Thanks it's not Electric Fields.

But I'm still against Australian participation in Eurovision.

Loving this. And good to have proven live vocal capabilities before we get to May as well, especially given the last two Australian entries.

I do wonder how they're going to adapt it to Tel Aviv though because, as I understand it, the venue is a lot smaller/the ceilings a lot lower than it's been in, say, Lisbon or Kyiv so that stage show may end up changing.

Not only that but also it just not being a safe pop song. As much as I loved WGL (my 3rd fave of ANY song last year, let alone just Eurovision, my winner), that and DCE were pretty safe pop songs so it was gonna be hard to stand out, especially with the vocals off. Instantly, love it or hate it, Zero Gravity is going to make an impression. I feel like WFL last year was sort of top 15 for a lot of people, Zero Gravity is probably gonna be either top 10 or bottom 10 for a lot of people and it's those top 10s that get the points regardless of the fact that it goes a bit more out there and might alienate some.

That's something that the BBC need to realise

I’m ELATED. That’s how you reverse your trend, right out of the box with a thudding pop-op banger.

Needs touching up a little, stage-wise, but otherwise great. I thought Shepard was mediocre in studio form and quite amateur live. I don’t think it would’ve done great in Tel aviv tbh.

My favorite song won again in the national finals! However, contrary to other people's thoughts on the staging and arrangement, I think it is somewhat underwhelming. This song needs some more movement because it is upbeat and jubilant, unlike Estonia's 2018 entry which is much more pensive and slow-paced. That flying person is a good shout so Kate needs to move much more. Besides, they might want to revamp the last minute of the song live. It sounds good in the studio version only because the background vocals are given equal emphasis to the main vocal (Kate), but the main vocal sings so few notes in the last minute which at live the main vocal is emphasized, hence the last minute feels empty. They should either put more emphasis on the background vocals, or give more notes or a new motif of more frequent notes for Kate to sing. Otherwise, it could flop terribly in Eurovision and I don't want to see it happening since it is such a unique and potent song.
