I never even really liked Emma but she got me at the end

Emma keeps trying to cry bless her

At this point I just feel numb. Like I’ve accepted that this could be the end, but then I still have hope after Emma said we need to give it a new home and when Big Brother said they’d get back to us

It does feel like BB can’t win, they put in reality rejects people complain, they make it more ‘normal’ it’s now boring. Gutted to see it go :( not that bad a result in the end I guess!

Just starting BOTS now, ready to cry x

I can't tell whether Emma's too upset for words or too drunk to comprehend what's happening?

That's the first time I've watched BOTS this series, but very glad I did. Can't believe that's it all finished now.

Rylan promising him, Emma and Marcus will do all they can to get BB back. Bless him.

That's it. All over. I'm so emotional/teary eyed right now. It has literally been a part of my life since BB2 and I've watched every single series from then without ever missing a single episode. I've literally grown up with it.

Too gutted to get into it even more but I will.

that was very tough to watch Emma crying at the end made me so upset :(

Also, after the show ended I straight away switched channel, because im that petty

For emotional and it's so hard to believe it's all over, the last words of big brother will get back to you leave us with some hope. I loved the intro tonight showing all the winners,i just thought some former housemates might be there.Channel 4 def had a better send off and i do think channel 5 should have gone with one more ultimate type series to send it off but as we learned this year channel 5 just wanted rid. I've watched since series 1 and fingers crossed it can make it's way back on to TV someday.

Will we ever see a reality show like Big Brother have such an impact that it originally did again? I'm not sure.

A lot of us have grown up watching Big Brother.

Both I imagine, she definitely seemed super pissed off that C5 paid them dust. They didn't get time to properly show what it meant to them, relive some great moments, and I'd be livid too tbh. The fact that, as I said, for ONE night they couldn't prioritise what's been their biggest show for so long (at least in its celeb form) over a show about a bloody train station really speaks volumes. They've got their wish and it's been axed, why not let the hosts who carried your channel at times get the farewell they deserve?! I'm living for her just sipping vodka from her little cup though

Omg same, icr the last time I watched C5 if not for BB other than Wentworth and Rich Kids Go Skint on 5Star, and there shan't be a time in the future

I don't think any other reality show will come close to having the same impact,it in many many ways shows the reality of life in terms of human characters, how we all think differently, react to situations, deal with emotions etc. It also shows how money can change people and also how some people will trample anyone to win and how others just stay true to themselves and be honest just to win. I will truly miss it.

Sittin' on the sofa

Watching you go

It's like no other pain

I've ever known

To love something so much

To have no control

Frow said, "I wanna see the end"

And I said, "No"

And I think I'm lost without you

I just feel crushed without you

I've been strong for so long

That I never thought how much I needed you

I think I'm lost without you

Strangers rushin' past

Just tryna get home

But you were the only

Safehaven that I've known

Hits me at full speed

Feel like I can't breathe

And nobody knows

This pain inside me

My world is crumbling

They should never have

Let you go

I think I'm lost without you

I think I'm lost, lost, lost

Ooh-way, ooh-way, ooh-way, ooh, ooh

I think I'm lost without you, you

I just feel crushed without you

'Cause I've been strong for so long

That I never thought how much I love you

Standin' on the platform

Watching you go

I don't think I commented all season, partly because I was 3 weeks behind initially because of Holiday and I always seem to be an episode or so behind.

This was a fantastic series to end on (apart from the last week), great cast for the most part and some nostalgia to the earlier seasons of Big Brother, I also loved the Bit Coin bit, but they could have taken that so much further.

Thoughts on (most) of the housemates.

Akeem: A bit fake, yes, but still very likeable in the long run. He had a rough go of it for a while but he always remained positive which was great to watch.

Anamelia: I kinda power watched the episodes she was in.. not overly pleasant to watch if I say so myself. I was still shocked she was the first to go, but I had no idea it was a vote to Evict so that's why.

Brooke: Seems massively loved by some of the forums I've seen. I don't know why. She's nice and all but she didn't bring that much to the table now did she.

Cameron: TBH, I was massively disappointed he won. I get the fact that he was 9 Months Old when the show first started, he came out on the show and is the youngest winner.. but.. apart from that he didn't really deserve to win now did he? He really was 18 going on 80. 75% of the season and his scenes were him moaning or being cross with someone. I just wish there were stronger people at the end that would have bumped him down to 2nd/3rd. I think he's going to look back on some of these episodes and wish he appreciated it more or had a better attitude.

Cian: I liked Cian! I picked him to be at the end and finish in the bottom half for sure. He was always positive and fun to watch for the most part. I really don't know why he got such a hard time admitting he had a slight crush on Cameron. At the rate Cameron was moving he was never going to come out, although I know he knew Cameron was gay.. I just don't get why he was expected to keep his mouth shut.

Ellis: She went from me picking her to win on Launch Night to absolutely hating her (with Lewis G episode 1) to being ejected. Eek.

Isaac: He had a rough go at it, didn't he. Outside of his alliance with Lewis G and his negative attitude at times he wasn't all that bad of a housemate. He had some genuine connections and wasn't that bad to look at. I wish he would have lasted a tad bit longer. I don't think we got his full potential.

Kay: Another one that I just kind of power watched until she left, I did like that she stood up for herself - even if it meant she looked like an idiot. She exited at the right time, just as I was going off of her.

Kenaley: Ehh, didn't add much, did she.

Lewis F: Let's be honest, the series revolved around him and you definitely noticed it when he wasn't there. Part of me hated every ounce of him. His attitude, the way he spoke to others, the way he carried himself, the way he let others impact him, the moaning. But when you caught him in a *rare* good mood he was actually great to watch. I feel he could be someone that you either love or hate, but if you love him, he would be loyal.

Lewis G: Ugh, we came so close to an almost perfectly casted season. He stood out like a sore thumb for all the wrong reasons. Should have never been allowed to have been on this series.

Sian: That was a waste. So much potential leading up from her VT and nothing.

Tomasz: Placed exactly where I expected. Pretty much owned the season just to be kicked out right before the final. He was great, but not a perfect housemate by any means. I think he got too wrapped up in the game and clearly demonstrated that he couldn't be trusted. Pre-Big Coin playing Tomasz probably had a good chance of winning.. the greed and gameplaying got the best of him.

Zoe: 70% of me loved Zoe, the rest couldn't stand the poor attitude. High Highs. Low Lows. But all around a nice person.

Hussein: *see writeup for Lewis G* - they just replaced Lewis G with stunt casting again.

Isabella: I normally don't like Intruders/Late Entry people but I really liked Isabella! I felt that she could have actually gone really far, but of course we got the double eviction which took her out.

At the end of the day Big Brother is an institution and I really hope that it gets picked up by somebody. You have great hosts like Emma and Rylan who will *hopefully* fight to keep it alive. Unlike with Davina who was clearly done with BB once dropped by C4, I have hopes. It may be on a smaller scale and it may not be right away, but I hope it will be back.

I was actually quite surprised they didn't just cancel the civilian series and keep on with Celebrity Big Brother, even if it was just once a year.

This was a great series to end on to be honest. Great casting, great attempt at some nostalgia and probably one of the strong civilian C5 Series.

The only thing I would have wished they had done differently is pushed for a final Ultimate Big Brother. There are so many good housemates from C4 + C5 that probably would have committed to doing the show for a couple weeks. Missed opportunity there. They could have really gone out with a proper goodbye.

Overall, the production on this series was outstanding - so much better than recent years. It had a clear format (including no stupid nominations omg TWIST!!1), a strict rule of no outside contact and, importantly for me, funny and genius tasks. The introduction of the gamechanger was so overdue and should have been introduced ages ago (or kept on after BB11), it provides a chance to save big characters and adds some excitement to the week without needing pointless noms twists. The tasks were all brilliant and a MASSIVE step up over recent years - actual thought was put into them and it showed how they can add to the drama naturally without the need for constant mean tweets/home truths tasks. The big coins aspect was also interesting although not overly impactful.

The housemates overall were alright but I was expecting more from them - I wouldn't say any were classic housemates, aside from Lewis F but he just got too miserable (more a BB8 Channelle than a Nikki). I'll comment all them all individually when I do the rate~

I do think it was a solid series, just let down slightly by the 'cast' but I do commend that they were actually all normal housemates for once - so so refreshing.

The final was of course underwhelming as the FINAL final but they were very limited with a 1 hour 15 minute show and at least it didn't overshadow the four finalists because it would have been a bit gutting to have been sidelined for your own final! One thing that has annoyed me is that ALL the focus of the celebrations/lookbacks has been on the Channel 4 era - the clip that led the final was about 95% just Channel 4. Yes, the series on Channel 5 has had so much less impact than the original run and has of course been an absolute mess for the majority of the time but I feel the Channel 4 era already had that celebration in 2010 and so it would have been nice to focus on the 8 series since then, especially as every series is just forgotten about by the time it ends! The 'Never Forget' video on BOTS was also a bit embarrassing - I don't get why they didn't get ex-housemates to do it, what sort of a celebration is random scrapping of the barrel BOTS guests? The Emma scenes were great though.

Emma and Rylan both really got me though </3 It's wonderful seeing that they share the same passion for the show and will truly miss it - I had felt Emma was ready to leave over recent years so it's nice to see that she's still standing by the show. I'm not sure I can see it coming back, I still need convincing on how it would work on Netflix - plus Netflix seem to finally be being more budget savvy so why would they take on an expensive 18 year old show for just one region. Hmmmm.

Never has a show brought out so many different emotions and I will truly miss it.
