Has Kylie Christmas appeared in the top 200 at any time this year?

Not yet, perhaps last week but unlikely.

Chris Martin on radio 2

We wrote a Christmas song for Kylie, but I don’t think anyone really liked it…. I don’t think it was a dud, but one of those ones that went by the wayside… I don’t think it caught anyone’s imagination, which is fine.”

Is he talking about ‘Every Days Like Christmas’? :D

It’s done poorly generally on streaming and has totally dropped back this year sadly, hardly on any decent playlists.

Spotify Xmas Day

28 Santa Baby

101 Santa Claus Is Coming To Town

128 At Christmas

Not bad at all for Kylie Christmas.

3 tunes in UK top 130 out of all the songs out there

Santa Claus is Coming To Town had a great 2020 snd even better 2021.

Hopefully having that third KCSQ album track picking up significant streams for two chart days means the album might rechart again this week.

It would be great if it charted but I cant see it making the top 100, but should go top 200

Such a shame EDLC and Christmas Wrapping have lost so much playlist support on Spotify.

Oh Santa did great though.

The Friday-Sunday streams though will be significantly better for the whole album so I hope it makes the top 200 albums on Friday.

The Amazon link is now up just waiting for it to go live to pre-order.

Hopefully it manages a week at least back in the charts, they should throw out a 7” vinyl of ‘Santa Baby’ too!

Should have released mid year it would have hot a new peak!

18th November will be a packed week of course. Wonder how many they have produced? 4,000? Probably checked what sold well with Impossilbe Princess.

Streaming Xmas songs won't be huge that week so unless she sells some CDs it will be vinyl only sales so maybe 2k in UK?

Guessing they will get Impossible Princess out this week then Kylie Xmas preorder will update on her website etc. Adding a santa baby vinyl or cd would be a cute addition, if they just did a slight edit/remix she would get it downloaded loads too

Def agree about Santa baby and I think it deserves to have its own physical. For a year that kylie hasn't released new material we really are blessed getting this and IP vinyls this year and next year new material.

I think the clue is in the title that makes it clear it wouldn’t have sold well mid year :P Also she generally would have needed to sell over 4,000 copies in one week to outdo #12.

Impossible Princess is BMG, Kylie Christmas is still Parlophone. Different teams so I don’t think the IP preorders will necessarily dictate how Kylie Christmas is handled.

I assume it would be like the Fever vinyl/cassette situation where it appeared on a separate website of hers, rather than her store page that Impossible Princess / Disco is being sold on, but we’ll see.

Another Kylie vinyl :D

It doesn't come close to Impossible Princess but I welcome it.
