November 9, 20187 yr This Ariana song being #1 when you look at her (relatively flawless) singles discography makes me feel so sad. :( Thank U Next pales in comparison with all 3 Sweetner singles.
November 9, 20187 yr Is there actually a version of 'Shallow' without the audience cheers in the background like they're playing?
November 9, 20187 yr 'thank u, next' has continued to grow on every listen  So happy it's #01! I think it'll do a 'God's Plan' / 'One Kiss' unless something huge comes out soon.
November 9, 20187 yr Thank U Next pales in comparison with all 3 Sweetner singles. And all the Dangerous Woman singles, and all the My Everything Singles.

November 9, 20187 yr The line about Mac Miller is sweet but otherwise I am not feeling this new Ariana song at all which is a shame :( I'll take a #2 peak for 'Woman Like Me' considering that it's a unique position for the girls!
November 9, 20187 yr And all the Dangerous Woman singles, and all the My Everything Singles. Never mind those!
November 9, 20187 yr Hadji guessed right this time. 1999 is at #41. :( In the likely words of Hadji: If Ariana hadn’t have released this week it’d have been top 40 😱
November 10, 20187 yr 'thank u, next' doesn't quite sound like something I'll end up loving as much as the 3 singles from 'Sweetener' but it's a solid R&B track and I can definitely see why it's done so well, it's nice to see her getting another #1 (and it's probably the best of the 3 for me, although none of them are among her very best songs). With the humongous Spotify numbers it has to be a solid favourite for Xmas #1. My favourite new entry today was actually James Arthur, I want to say surprisingly but actually I've really liked his music ever since his sudden comeback which is odd after how much I hated his output prior to that (and he was horrendous on X Factor as well). Clean Bandit and benny blanco's newies were both decent and might be growers, I also quite like the Jonas Blue track, a massive improvement on 'Mama' and 'Rise'. I like 'A Million Dreams' quite a bit as well, would be nice if that does eventually take off on Spotify. Solid set of new entries. Actually glad to see Halsey going top 10 as well, I don't want to root for her but 'Without Me' has really grown on me. Great to have 'Sunflower' back in the top 10 too. Gah at '1999' just missing the top 40 this week but I'm sure it is gonna end up being a big hit in the next few weeks so it doesn't matter too much.
