Is that shade?

If it is then... Does anyone else find it weird how much she shades her own music SO much?

She also shaded 'NASA'.

She wanted 'in my head' and nothing else and we all know it wouldn't have worked well.

'bloodline' would be the only other option and even then the clear message to Pete would have been plastered all over the media, so maybe they were right to move on when they did.

...but all for 'BOYFRIEND'. No honey.

I think that tweet was made up for a laugh (that user seems to be a 'bad idea' stan judging by their username ) but yeah Ariana has some seriously interesting opinions on her own music, you're right. The worst one was her calling 'Touch It' boring -_-

I do like 'boyfriend' but definitely would've preferred a longer 'thank u, next' campaign over it!

Okay thank God for that! I was being a serious Karen just then, but you're right, the taste in her own songs has been known to be questionable, so I got a little triggered.

I did wonder

Boyfriend is so slept on this forum! </3

I think if boyfriend had actually been on the album it could’ve been better received same as Don’t Call Me Angel actually. They’re not like a million miles away from the sound of that era in production but for me I think bloodline would’ve worked better as the third single and then ghostin to close the era.

I think the thank u, next era though was one where pretty much everything on the album could’ve been a hit bar maybes make up. She was just that star in that era everything she touched turned to gold and she had hype, massive streams, acclaim and paid for sales on her side. The campaign could’ve been stretched out but it’s still charting now so we did good

Its bizarre why they never pushed ‘needy’. It was basically waiting to be a cute top 10.

And it already made Top 5 in Ireland, Top 10 in the UK, Malaysia and Singapore and Top 20 in the US, Canada, Greece, Hungary, Lithuania, New Zealand and Portugal.

So they even could have thrown out a pretty and low budget music video, performed it live a couple of times and called it a single. Knowing Ari she probably finds it too boring. :heehee:

I’m a bit meh that break up with your gf was the third single even though it was a #1

ghostin I think could’ve really pushed album sales up if that was pushed but I can totally see why Ari might not have wanted it to be a single.

Happy 2 years of this album  I remember having my first listen while walking to work and now I've been working from home for nearly a year - so that feels like a lifetime ago  a great album that's still hanging around in the UK top 100 *.*

The singles from the album have all aged so well! I can't believe it's already been over 2 years.
We could have had 3 more singles from this album EASY, I was hoping it would have been her 'Teenage Dream' spitting out hit single after hit single (mind you I thought that about Dangerous Woman) potentially equaling the record for most #1s from one album; 'thank u , next' > '7 rings' > 'buwyg,ib' > 'bloodline' > 'NASA' > 'bad idea' might just have been the best singles run in history.
