The Syco drama is most likely why they're not on the final. I believe he invited them to perform on it anyway. Worth noting as well that Jade has been missing from a couple of performances & interviews recently, possibly due to illness, could have something to do with it?

But his performance will ramp up the airplay for him, making it a consistent seller and potentially taking it away from Ari. I'm not 100% sure he will as I assume Ariana's video is gonna have a major boost. It's already semi-viral and we only have images lmao! But I think he's the most likely contender.

He performed the new single elsewhere in the last two weeks and it didn't do overly much for it apart from lifting it into the top 20 on iTunes, needs to get into the Spotify top 50 pronto to stand a chance.

Really liked Farewell by Rod Stewart when he performed on strictly.

like what effect had Zara Larsson yesterday? went from 0.25 to 0.40, that's like wow 150 downloads sold, not gonna get Xmas #1 with such a tiny effect

Look at Polaroid literally a few weeks ago...

 

It could be just the boost that George needs for Xmas #1. Maybe he will make it, maybe he won't, but X Factor is capable of big boosts when the song clicks. It's still the best platform for promotion around.

and I actually was thinking of Polaroid too

got a big boost but then help it go... top 15... not #1...

and the last couple weeks it's climbed inside the top 15 thanks to Spotify as it's higher on playlist

 

all I was saying is that sure it helps but you also need Spotify help, an xf performance it's gonna give you some extra sales that might help but ultimately its all down to Spotify (sadly)

Ezra is barely top 40 now, he must climb on average 5-8 positions PER WEEK to reach #1 for Xmas. That's tough job to do for a song that's on almost a year old album and not by Ed Sheeran.

A big album boost is more likely.

I was wondering why Halsey had got such a big boost to 5 on iTunes but I'm catching up on X factor and she had a Beats 1 Advert with Without Me which is what 'm presuming the effect of this boost is?
