I think she could actually have a low key hit with this.

Like she’s not gonna have a Sax type hit but maybe like a Louisa Johnson Best Behaviour kinda chart run or maybe like how Ellie did with Close To Me.

She’s higher on Spotify new music than I expected and I guess she’ll be doing the TV show promo rounds this week too I expect she could be on Loose Women and This Mornings already confirmed.

Radio could go either way but given she’s already high on iTunes I guess Capital will play her.

It’s better than I expected it to be and i do think she has a fair amount of interest and people that like her what will go and buy it or stream out of curiosity and she’s lucky that at the moment most of the chart is just hits from weeks ago so she’ll stand out as a new release at the moment.

Song is pleasant enough and not identical to Sax so at least she’s not played it 100% safe but I see what a few of the comments mean about sounding a bit 2014.

The video is almost a Formation meets Close To Me but I can’t deal with her dancing. She just seems to have one move, rehashed it from her Uptown Funk performance and thrown it at the song.

Not as bad as I thought it might be based on the descriptions on here! I'm so glad she hasn't gone for Spotify-fodder even if the sound is a bit dated, but tbh who was expecting something groundbreaking from Fleur realistically? I'm thinking maybe a top 30 hit with Capital support and the decent mainstream promo she's getting?

I thought it was quite shoddy on the first listen this morning, as in I actually thought most of her album was better. I'll give it some more listens though.

I did rediscover how much I like 'Gold Watch' on the commute to work this morning though, now THAT is a bop.

Jesus christ, this is fantastic? Absolutely loving the tribal/Afro-pop influences - hoping for this to be a hit.

EDIT - and lovely to see her go for something original, she could have just as easily played it safe.

I'd be very surprised if R1 playlisted this, but obviously she will have a following after I'm A Celeb so I think R2 would cater perfectly for that.
This isn't that bad is it? It's not something I'm going to find myself playing often at all but it's much better than I was expecting when I clicked play!

I like the song but this is actually the best video of her career so far (considering how abysmal any video from her debut era was).

So its top 10 on iTunes and No.4 on New Music Friday. Good start :-)

This is getting better and better the more I play it and I LOVE the video . She really is a damn star who was done so wrong by Syco.

loved it on first listen and the video goes well with it and is a decent video which I have watched a few times and downloaded the song as well
It's very Eurovision - the best hypothetical UK Eurovision entry in years (not hard)

I love this song! I mean I never got round to buying her first album anyway, but 'Sax' was a total bop and likewise so is this. Hopefully she gets a big hit with this, she deserves it.

Oh I really quite like this, definitely nowhere near as bad as initial comments suggested! Love the tribal elements but it could maybe do with a stronger/longer chorus.

A lot more impressed than I expected especially when it seems she’s on a very tiny label (it looks like she’s one of two acts)

This doesn’t remind me of 2014 as much as the comments on here say it does, it’s giving me more Best Behaviour meets Starley - Call On Me actually?

It’s growing and growing on me.

It is a bit of subtle stomper. I get Best Behaviour vibes too.

I’m hoping it can sneak into the top 40.
