LadBaby is still in bright green, though.

As much as I'm not a fan of the track, I'd like to see LadBaby get it, as Ava's got it nailed on for next week regardless. The more #1's in a year, the better ;)

Not necessarily, Mariah could get next week as her Christmas Day streams will be massive.

Even still Ava could have it the week after but by then Mark Ronson or someone could overtake.

I'm sort of rooting for Mariah to make #1 the week after. It would be pretty well deserved after all this time and would make up for her missing #1 this week when she really should have claimed it.
I'm genuinely excited... and surprised.

For most of the last month, people have been practically handing Ariana the Xmas #1, now it seems she is reportedly trailing in a 3-horse race.

I hope Ava gets the #1 and right now I believe she will - that would have been a story in itself.

At the start of Nov on another thread, I said novelty singles would have no chance - well Ladbaby may be the exception that makes me saying that sound foolish. He has a following it has clearly caught on with - I've even given it a few Spotify plays myself. But still... I don't see it, he must be around 10k behind both Ava and Ariana once the missing streaming data is added in, so his surge on iTunes today would need to be sustained tomorrow and Thursday as well.

THIS!

Would Mariah be no.1 this week without ACR?

Come on, sausage song novelty!! Show BJSC and X Factor how it'a done!

It will only count as a 600th of a sale. You're better off just buying it if you want it to go to #1 (or wait for next week to watch it if you really don't want to help it at all).

If it does go to #1 it could have the biggest drop from #1 in history by dropping out of the top 100, the record so far is 1-97 for Three Lions earlier this year.

I see :/ I don't buy singles. I could watch the YT vid and free Spotify it then fooor 2/600 of a sale.

the silly thing will be that the OCC will have to estimate 1 day of Spotify data and who knows how many days of YT data, think YT is even slower reporting than Spotify,

so if it's close, it's a pity it will all be based on last day estimates rather than real data

for me, personally this week, it reminds me of a few weeks back when Eastside managed #1 but no matter how you looked at the data, Promises should have been added and not even close... for me, this week it's the same, Ariana should be like 5k ahead by my calculations so not sure how she's behind even with missing data

I mean the LadBaby song is horrendous but I'm definitely backing it for the #1, I don't think we've had a novelty song hit the top since I've been following the charts :o

I agree with the sentiment of it being great to see an exciting no1 race this week and for Christmas no1 week too. Pity sales were bigger but sure.

Any but Ariana for me - songs poor imo and it's had it's time now for sure!

If it's supposed to have any comedic value then it's certainly lost it on me

I mean it's not a 'novelty hit' in the same vein as LadBaby is (the last of those to get to #1 would be PJ & Duncan in 2013 I guess), but you can't have thought it was actually a serious song? Lil Dicky is more of a comedian who happens to make music than an actual musician.

Well whatever it is it's something different at the top which is what Xmas no1 is about sometimes!
LadBaby would not be remembered like Mr Blobby. It's just a smash and grab campaign out of nowhere, it won't even be top 100 next week!
It would still be no1 though. But like Rage in the download era it fell out of the top 40 within 2 weeks. Still one of the most shocking moments in chart history!
It still shows an insight into the uk culture imo and it is still important!
