Posted February 23, 20196 yr V2 : YTD Sales : Please read these guidelines before you request sales estimates, it makes my task a lot easier. 1. Be specific - please name the artist and title for each entry you'd like an estimate for. 2. I log sales for all albums that have charted this year, but only update those that have sold enough to reach my 200 position tracking range 3. If an album isn't in the current Top 100, I won't be able to update its sales until Tues. Also, please don't ask about ex-T100 albums too often - once a month at most) 4. Remember to check the thread before requesting estimates - they may already have been answered. Also, no more than half-a-dozen requests at a time, thanks. 5. Please note my figures are combined sales & streams, and since I have no way of separating them, I cannot provide a split. 6. While I am no longer estimating singles sales, I can provide YTD singles positions from C+, and I am still maintaining my sales archive based on published figures (PM me if you want to see it) Thank you. February 23, 20196 yr This is a bit of an unusual question and not sure if posting in the right place. Does anybody know what is the lowest best selling album of any year? I know One Direction only sold around 692k of Midnight Memories in one year. I wonder if we could beat that this year if no big releases!
February 23, 20196 yr ASIB looks like it could actually hit 400k in sales, could even end up at 500k which is amazing!

I think you probably answered your own question there, but i could be wrong, i vaguely remember them saying something like that, had a quick scout on wikipedia (not 100 per cent accurate and incomplete) midnigjt memories is the lowest but its only filled in since 1995. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_bes..._United_Kingdom
February 23, 20196 yr Expecting TGS to get a boost after Hugh’s BRITs performance, so should help keep it in front of Ariana for a while longer. Wondering how consistently Thank U, Next will sell. Bar My Everything, none of her albums have gone platinum so not expecting this to stay top 5 by end of the year even if it does get to the top briefly. Vid/Paul, do you have sales for Mabel’s Ivy To Roses? Thanks in advance.

"Midnight Memories" sold 684,750 to become the best selling album of 2013, it is the lowest tally certainly since 1980 so I would say you'd back in the 70s to find a lower "biggest seller".

February 23, 20196 yr 40.5k Is this total since it first charted in October 2018 or do you have info from its original release, which was around October 2017 I think?

February 23, 20196 yr what about 1992? Wasn't that like the lowest year in terms of album sales? I think Stars was the bigger seller even if the album was from 1991, how much did that do in 92?
