Can they be edited once they have been posted as in the past ive made error and then had to delete the whole thing then start again which is really annoying and it may only be one word that is wrong

Only mods can do this, so if you PM one of the moderators of that section, they can edit!

I need a job then haha

Was wondering optimistically if either of the following features could exist within the mainframe of this forum;

1) The ability to see what you previously voted for in a poll (even long after you have forgotten what it was you voted for)

2) The ability to see what other people have voted for in a poll (specifically voters identities rather than just numbers)

3) The ability to see poll standings before a vote has been cast

Is any of this possible at all? :unsure:

Based on a quick look I think only #3 is available and I'm hesitant to enable that - best to make a decision without being swayed by the existing results!
I like #1 as an idea but definitely not #2, some people might not feel comfortable knowing others know their vote, especially in things like Politics!

Option 1 is definitely the only one I'd be interested in (so then if we make a mistake we can be sure that we definitely did vote that one etc..) although I'm not sure how that'd work in regards to once a vote has been edited to correct the error and how it would show. I guess we'd just have to have a reply from the mods saying the edit has been done or whatever.

My main gripe with polls though is how we can't just close the polls, but still have that same thread active to keep discussing.

They are annoyingly static of a feature - I'd love better editing features for them and even having changing your vote available as an option (for say political opinion polls, not a competition) without making a new poll but I doubt that the board's system can handle that.

Oh I do like that option too, to have a set countdown which you can submit a vote within and after the deadline passes the poll closes, but the thread can remain active.
