Favorite for me: VB

 

I've grown to actually love Victoria's vocals; her harmonies in the chorus Viva Forever is what really made me pay attention to her more. I've grown to love her verses the most "Back where I belong now, was it just a dream?...", something about her voice that just makes it sound so mystical and mysterious.... like emerging from a dream, perfectly fitting for that line. I really have no idea why she is bashed so much for being unable to sing...

 

Mel C's voice is the most unique out of all of them, to me, in its power and timbre.

 

Mel B is special as she brings something none of the other girls can deliver - lower register, as in all of her harmonies that are done in an octave below the melody. Her back and forth with Mel C at the end of Viva Forever during the earlier live versions.......... just WOW....

 

Geri's vocals (or should I say, her "talking") in her songs have so much character -- although I must say I am not a fan of her verse in the album version of 2 Become 1 -- love her as a harmonizer in 2 Become 1 though! And harmonies need to be celebrated more.

 

Emma's great, love her vocals, she's got a great voice, great in Naked and Let Love Lead The Way (although in LLLTW my favorite ad libs are Mel B's).

Emma and Mel B are the ones for me, so hard to choose between them

 

I love Melanie C when she's on spice girl mode and credit to her she's brought that into her latest solo era better.

 

Geri is mad as a box of frogs but in the past she would channel that into the Spice Girls or interesting projects now she uses it to curate this weird white country world.

 

Victoria I'm over. If she does anything with the girls again OK but on her own she's a bit of a vapid celeb now. The wannabe t-shirt thing was pretty shit too, happily using the girls but not having any input when it comes to proper spice girls projects.

Emma and Mel B are the best for me. Both bring *it* to the group and they are always up for group stuff, always!

 

Plus, when it comes to live, Emma really shines vocally and Mel B is just an outstanding performer. Both were really great in the 2019 tour and you could tell they both improved so much over the years!!

Mel B and Mel C. They carry the Spice Girls, they always did. The 2019 tour was basically them singing and dancing. I miss Victoria though.

While I love and appreciate them all and their value to the group, Mel C was always my favourite. She was the vocal force and also such a sweet personality. Victoria has become joint favourite (probably my least fave when I was a kid) because I now realise how hilarious and grounded she was and has stayed that way.

 

I’ll always have a soft spot for Geri too but more so 1996-97 Geri. Mel B I’ve grown to appreciate over the years. Emma is perhaps my least favourite. :o

:wub: yeah Geri’s become unrecognisable these days. I miss Ginger. :(

Nowadays it is Scary, then Baby, Sporty, Posh and Ginger, in that order!
Musically speaking (and as this is a music / chart forum after all) I’ve went with Mel C. I think she’s the best vocalist of the group and she’s definitely my favourite in terms of their musical solo careers. I adore Mel Cs vocal though (especially on a ballad :wub: ).
