I was worried for Yvie on her first lip-sync since her dress choice didn't really look very lip-sync friendly but she made it.

 

So so happy with the ending result!!!

 

Oh and Daddy Oddly omfg :o so hot!!!

How was Yvie's brown dress not a reveal? Throughout the whole thing, I was thinking "She's leaving this reveal very late". Haha!

 

And, I hate to say it, but if the winner is supposed to be judged on lip syncs alone, Brooke Lynn probably deserved the win more. She gave so much more energy.

yea I agree that Brooke won the lip sync but I was cool with either of them winning tbh although the whole finale episode felt very underwhelming in comparison to previous seasons :(

I'll admit I fast forwarded through most of this episode. It was very boring up until the lip syncs.

This was the most boring finale I've ever seen :(

I agree with the boring comments in regards to the multiple VTs (WHAT was that Vanjie video?!) although I loved all three lipsyncs and the song choices were great! Was it just me or did A'Keria not know the words to SOS?

 

SO pleased that Yvie won though! She definitely struggled a bit in the later half of the series but she was so strong in the first half and the last two episodes and she genuinely looked so shocked/pleased to win (I know they prerecord different winners but it was a very convincing reaction)

I was teambrooke but I am very happy with the winner yvie offered something different to drag and I lived for her final lip sync outfit!

Oh and did I see Yvie's #freebritney undies during SOS or was written something else?

Lol I saw Free Britney too! I was hoping for a full dress reveal but I wasn't disappointed with the face reveal

Yeah they really padded the finale :lol: Like REALLY, a segment about Michelle's boobs?? Christine and the Queens singing Sissy That Walk while random queens walk the runway?? I did laugh at "you fine as hell are you single" "put your phone number too" in the Vanjie VT though :rofl:

 

They should do an All Stars talent show type thing with the finalists I think, each one can show what they think makes them deserve the crown, not necessarily counting towards the win, just have them before the lipsync for the crown instead of whatever on earth they had this time.

 

Yvie winning I am VERY happy with, whilst Brooke slayed the season, Yvie definitely feels more like a "moment" of a winner and has it all and I think she really shows the potential and future of drag. I think they both absolutely gave it in both lipsyncs and I'd have been happy with either winning, but I'm definitely that bit happier over Yvie. I did also live for Akeria's "f*** this I'm out" face at having to lipsync against Yvie and knowing she'd be eviscerated.

 

Also Yvie's dad YES *.* *.* *.*

The finale was ok. There were some funny bits here and there.

 

Brooke vs Silky was the best lip sync. Brooke was amazing and Silky did decently.

 

Yvie vs A'keria was ok, but it didn't seem that A'keria knew the words 100% at times.

 

Yvie vs Brooke was nice, but I was expecting so much more given the song. I really wanted them to go at it. Brooke was way too clean for me. Yvie beat Brooke in the lip sync, although I was waiting for her to do a dress reveal. When she went to flip I thought her whole dress was going to come off for some epic reveal. :(

 

Overall, I am so happy Yvie won. Whilst Brooke was great throughout, Yvie's edge/unique style was so refreshing.

 

I believe Yvie is the winner with the least challenge wins (1). Although the last epsiode should've been a challenge with her winning and she was robbed a couple times imo.

 

I'm really happy how things turned out overall though, especially with Nina getting Miss Congeniality. I bet Brooke will absolutely slay a future series of All Stars and I'm looking forward to it (AS6/7).

Yvie is an ok winner and at least different. At least it wasn't Silky.

The finale was full of filler which is the problem with doing the reunion last week and giving the Final 4 nothing to do except lip-sync (which takes about 10 minutes.)

 

I was happy with a Brooke or Yvie win and really thought after that final lip-sync that Brooke was going to take it. Pleasantly surprised that Yvie came out on top!

I'm happy with the winner (of course) but that finale was... Not the tea. So much filler and such a deflated ending.

 

They need to rework the finale format — it doesn't really work. How would you all change it?

 

I would prefer if they stole the variety challenge from All Stars, but elevated it. A full spectacle. Somewhat similar to the finale from Season 9 (Bob/Naomi/Kim Chi) but the final four would be able to do an act of whatever they're strong at and show us why they're a worthy star and winner of Drag Race. Surely people would be more excited to see what each queen is going to do? It would give the comedy queens etc more of a chance too. Ru would then choose his two favourites for the final lip sync — a great contrast to the spectacle that came before it. Just two queens on stage doing what drag queens do best.

 

Less chance of filler, more chance of actually being exciting and different every season.

Drag Race Thailand does it like that and it was so much better! In Season 1 for example the top 3 all did a performance of whatever they felt strongest at and *that* was the judged portion for deciding the winner, it was a bit convoluted but fun as an idea.

 

I wouldn't have it like that entirely, but I think at least they could do a kind of talent showcase as I said, at least to show that they are the top 4 and this is why they deserve to be here. I quite like the lipsync for the crown so I wouldn't take that away but surely something like that is a better use of the finale than just random arbitray VTs that don't really add anything.
