Yes, the one time we're the unquestioned favorites when it comes to football!

As the England team have been staying about 100 yards from my front door, I shall claim some of the credit for any success they have :D

Not quite the result England would have wanted today with a defeat against New Zealand. I say New Zealand are no pushovers that's for sure, they'll be a threat to Canada and The Netherlands.

World football's governing body says the £24m awarded to participating teams in 2019 is double the amount of 2015, but £315m was given to teams at the men's 2018 tournament.

Great to see the opening match being shown live.

Good opening goal from France thanks to a Le Sommer goal after 9 minutes.

Good finish for the second goal for France with Wendy Renard scoring from a corner.

Great opening match, I can see why they are the favourites, they look strong together as a team.

That was some finish from Gwinn to score for Germany against China. 1-0 then.

England ahead then after a penalty thanks to VAR.

Clinical finish from Ellen White to score for England. 2-0 then. Great to see all their group matches on the main channel.

That was a rather one-sided first half.

Yes it is was one sided in the first half. Some games have been one sided so far.

Now then this makes the last 10 minutes interesting. Scotland pull one back.

That was quite a good match to watch especially in the first half, they were lacking a bit in the second half I just knew Scotland would squeeze one in before the whistle goes. But they still need to improve a bit, if we end up playing France or USA at some point.

I watched England Vs Scotland and I thought Scotland were a bit unlucky to come away from the match with a defeat, they gave England a good game but in the end it was no surprise England got the victory. The atmosphere made it feel like a charity match rather than a World Cup match which is a shame but this can definitely be improved as time goes on.

 

 

I will be shocked if neither France or USA makes it to the final.
