June 18, 20196 yr Golden was a highly solid album by Kylie and an album i will revisit many times in the future, not her best album but it is better than some of her previous releases. Kiss Me Once is the Kylie album that was highly disappointing and an album i felt was targeted to trying to get a new fan base ahead of serving the existing loyal fanbase. It became clear Kylie learned from this mistake and moved on swiftly from it (also nothing from the album features on her upcoming Greatest Hits). Madonna with her album is showing signs she is trying to appeal to younger audiences working with what is seen as relevant people in the industry and early signs are showing it isn't doing that and i am unsure has she managed to keep her fanbase happy either. Madonna's new album i wont be purchasing as i find the style underwhelming and i am not as hung up on completing my Madonna collection as i am with Kylie. Both Kylie and Madonna have not feared the dare to try new sounds which is why both have such impressive catalogues to their names.

June 18, 20196 yr At least Kylie is not alienating her actual fanbase in order to get younger ones, she releases music for her fans which she knows mostly consists of gay men and middle aged women, on the other hand, Madonna is so desperatly trying to be relevant to the younger demographic that she keeps guest featuring any relevant rapper starting with Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Drake, Swae Lee, Quavo, Maluma , Kanye etc....that she forgot who she wants to please, she keeps repeating and rehashing the same ideas and themes over and over such as politics, christianity,sex... Kylie is all about fun and good music, she’s the Goddess of Pop and a worldwide icon, even if she hasn’t had a huge career in the US but she’s famous everywhere else...Madonna is the Queen of Pop but in my opinion she should’ve retired right after her 2009 Greatest Hits album... It's archaic, ageist, misogynistic mindsets like this that make me so proud that Madonna is continuing to do what she wants with her life and not be silenced or retire from her passion for ANYONE let alone non entities and internet trolls. :wub: This is proof that her battle and attitude to growing 'old' on her own terms is one still worth fighting for. What typical nonsense this thread is showing to pit two of the most successful women of all time against each other rather than celebrate their successes and differences.

Celebration and Immaculate never leave the charts. Kylie can’t fill a stadium , can’t dance , can’t write , can’t produce . She is nothing compared to Madonna. I like Kylie btw but let’s not pretend they are in the same league .

June 18, 20196 yr What has happened to this thread? I come in here to check chart positions and instead we have folk attacking people for their age and achievements. Both Madonna and Kylie have had (and are still having) ridiculously successful careers.. end of, let’s not pit them against eachother whilst making disgusting, crass comments about age.
