According to amazon, both albums have been postponed to May Day Bank Holiday 8th May. I wonder if this means that they’ll include hits from April on there or if it will be the same tracklist as it would’ve been today?

Amazon has also shown NOW 100 Hits Forgotten 60s as unavailable but the download is still going ahead

Now that NOW 105 has been postponed to May, I wonder if they’ll keep the tracklist as it would’ve been today or if they’ll edit it to include songs from next month?

If they edit it then Now 106 is going to be lacking in tracks to choose from (from a larger perspective) or they push 106 back a few weeks too and so on.

I just feel like it’ll remain unchanged

I'm sure releasing an album of songs from November- early March will sell very well when it's released in late May

I'd be happy for them to only release 2 albums this year. 105 in May and 106 in October. I think putting 106 out in July is too soon tbh and it'll strengthen 106 to have more hits rather than the flop fillers they have to add in these days.

If they weren’t going to edit the track list they’d have revealed it by now.

They should. It was originally planned for April so keep the tracklist the same. Don’t edit it to accommodate the new release date

My guess is that it would already be pressed, same with Now 5 and Now 100 Hits Forgotten 60's, and in warehouses, so the tracklist will be exactly the same.

Even if they have to release NOW 5 with missing tracks like they did with NOW 3 then so be it

They'll be mad to miss out DSN unless there's a licence issue with the track.

I know it’s pointless posting in this thread at the moment while we await whatever future the compilation series has, but they could have used this time to promote their digital platform by making Now 105 a digital release for now and then release the CD at a later time. Personally I’m not a fan of only having potentially one or two releases in a calendar year for the amount of new music we are still receiving at present. If new music releases had slowed I would understand the reasons more, but how can other artists still be releasing new albums on streaming platforms while the Now series sits back and does nothing.

 

Just think how many people would be playing Now 105 in their homes during this lockdown if it was made available online. Not many will care for the songs intended for the volume by the time it gets its release as many artists have continued to release newer singles. Dua Lipa for example now has 3 qualifying Top 10 singles from her new era waiting to be put on a volume.

 

Perhaps BuzzJack will need to compile its own Now 105 tracklist.
