We welcome you into the fold Iz xo

They're performing 'SUGAR' on the Ellen DeGeneres show on Friday, can we dream of that being the start of them having a real hit single ~ (that song has grown on me a lot since that first listen).

Album charted at #3 in the US (was #2 on Hits Daily Double but very close with #3 so not too surprised as Billboard is sometimes a little different to their figures) and #11 in the UK with 'NO HALO' charting at #76. Slayin.

NO HALO and DEAR DEPARTED are my clear faves but SUGAR could easily work its way up there, feels like a strong grower.

My personal favourites:

JUNKY

1999 WILDFIRE

GUMMY

SWEET

BOOGIE

ZIPPER

STAR

J'OUVERT

WEIGHT

NEW ORLEANS

DISTRICT

1998 TRUMAN

GOLD

I was going to restrict that to just 5 songs but I couldn't LOL

Finally listened to these this morning and I'm liking the sound of a lot of it - really liking No Halo and If You Pray Right also on first listen

I've been flicking through their albums, Tape and Weight has been one of the immediate stand outs for me too.

Based entirely on first impressions I've gone with this as the playlist...

I think 'JUNKY' will probably always be my favourite from them (every single verse on it is one of the best verses from each member and it's one of their best instrumentals and music videos as well) but 'WEIGHT' is probably a close 2nd, I was disappointed they never made a video for that!

I find it a little odd that 'BLEACH' is by far and away their most streamed song when it wasn't even a single, although I imagine it is one of their most playlist friendly songs which I assume is where it's got those numbers from. And I do like it a lot (probably is one of their better album tracks from the 'SATURATION' eras, I need to revisit those albums as I've never familiarised myself with the album tracks near as much as I have with their last 2 albums). 'SUGAR' seems to be the analogue to it from this era and looks like it may also become the most streamed song on the album possibly without actually getting a video.

'SUGAR' finally delivering on its mainstream potential as it's debuted at #78 in the UK and #70 in the US this/last week, climbing all around the globe thanks to the power of TikTok :cheer: I'd prefer if it was one of the many better songs on the album but I'm not complaining at them getting some sustained success at last ~

It also got a music video a few weeks ago (although it's pretty weird and very much not safe for work x)
