Posted July 30, 20195 yr WjhmB0JlCTo Early this month marked 15 years since the release of 'Chocolate', the third and final single taken from Body Language. The song incorporates elements of disco and funk and Kylie's synthesised vocal is breathy and sensual, delivering innuendos as she compares chocolate to her addiction to love. Its supporting video is elegant and stylish, featuring synchronised dance routines and ballet. It became a moderate hit in the charts, including a #6 peak in the UK where it placed 11th in a streak of Top 10 singles. 15 years on, how do you rate 'Chocolate'?

July 30, 20195 yr I do rate Chocolate and i did upon release. The song is often overlooked, its omission from Step Back in Time was disappointing as it is better than Red Blooded Woman which made the track listing.
July 30, 20195 yr Author I really like 'Chocolate' and I think it offers something a little different from Kylie. I'd probably rate it below all the other Parlophone singles that preceded it but it's still one I really enjoy. The instrumental is so slick - very Bedtime Stories era Madonna; soulful and dreamy. The video should get more recognition too.
July 30, 20195 yr It was a different and slow paced Kylie single but very easy listening. It is a very relaxing song.
July 30, 20195 yr Great song and along with slow was the standouts from the slightly disappointing body language.
July 30, 20195 yr I loved every single from this era and 'Chocolate' is no exception! Irresistibly smooth *.* I was definitely disappointed that it wasn't on the new GH.
July 30, 20195 yr I didn’t care for any of the singles post ‘Slow’ however I’ve grown to love Chocolate and RBW over the years. ‘Chocolate’ seems to have aged well but will never be a Kylie classic IMO.
July 31, 20195 yr Is the difference that big to loathe one and love the other? The album version just sounds lovelier, the radio edit, since it was, well, edited, just sounds incoherent.
July 31, 20195 yr I used to consider it one of my absolute favourites, but I think now I don't hold it in quite as high regard. I feel like the vocal in it can get on my nerves unless I'm in the right mood. The video is one of her absolute best though. Can't believe it's been 15 years! I remember the release week so perfectly, and the relentless trolling on the old site (CC) I got from a certain group of Madonna fans.
July 31, 20195 yr Author OQCQnARnKbc Does anyone else know people who thought Kylie's 'Chocolate' was this and that Kylie sang the song? It's happened to me a few times.
July 31, 20195 yr No never got those 2 mixed up but I would have loved kylies chocolate to have been a big a hit as it.
July 31, 20195 yr Chocolate is one of Kylie's singles i thoroughly enjoy but can equally understand where it falls short among fans. It does not stand out enough to be remembered outside the core fanbase. Equally it does not get performed enough to resonate with new listeners.
August 2, 20195 yr It's not the usual by kylie but still is very kylie at the same time. I think chocolate and into the blue may get performed at brighton.
August 2, 20195 yr That could be the result and it would explain "justice for Into The Blue and Chocolate".
