August 24, 20195 yr Semi 1 should be labelled produced and directed by Aeroche, it's fab. I can only assume t'other one is pop, this is rather varied, I'm down to 21 tracks I want to point after one runthrough. That means 11 good tracks getting nul, zero, nada, sweet FA, less than 1 point, nothing, they are cannonfodder, pushing up the points daisies. Don't blame me, I blame the voting system :P I foresee all the nice ones getting passed over in the results. Boooooo....
August 25, 20195 yr Voted. A decent, high quality semi on the whole with a few brill discoveries. Semi 1 is better overall though, what a qualification bloodbath that will be, almost everything is good/great.
August 25, 20195 yr Semi Two is great! Definitely needed a break from the contest to come back and appreciate it! I currently have 18 songs I want to vote for so I'm gonna have to whittle them down in the next few days. Only the one song I wouldn't give a second chance which is very good!

August 26, 20195 yr It's very funny you should say that^, as I was giving Semi 1 a quick spin yesterday and found something so specifically obscure when I came across your entry. The song samples what I believe is an old Bulgarian folk song, and I was very close to sending a cover version of that very song: ojF6ztdRMYw This was right up there on my potentials list but what put me off it is a) not being able to find a version without the off-putting speech throughout (the song was modified into being a failed mountain rescue mission or something) and b) there not being a Spotify version to fall back on. As such there's no way I'll ever be sending it now but it feels necessary to get this into the open.

That part sounds quite otherworldly, and it was a big part of what convinced me to send my song, though I hadn't realised it was Bulgarian or knew it was a sample (and not just a guest recording or something). Shame about those news reports, it'd work very well without it.
