We won't have to give all those millions and millions to the EU every year. The most important one though and the one everyone I know who voted out says was their reason for doing so, is immigration. Too many people coming in to a small already overpopulated island.

Fact is, if Brexit goes badly it is the people who voted rabidly for it and supported it up to the end who will be blamed. You will be shunned socially, and if civil unrest comes, who will stand up for you?

 

Will it be the people who you have insisted over the last three years should shut up because they 'lost'? Do you really think that people who you have mocked and belittled day in day out and laughed at will then be right happy to come to your defence and help you out, or will they decide that one bad turn deserves another?

Look I fully realise that we do need more Dr's, nurses,etc etc and have no objection to those coming but we've too many unskilled Europeans also coming at present because they can and that puts a huge strain on housing and the NHS, if not benefits because they can't claim. There's so much competition to even get a privately rented property here in East Ham now. Was easy when we came down here in 1994.

Well thanks but this is not a funny subject. It's very serious. It's even making me ill. My blood pressure was high on Monday even though I was on 3 BP pills. Now on 4. Told my GP it's all this Brexit worry and she laughed so much, nearly wet herself. :o

 

It's putting friends against friends, family members against other family members, forum members against other forum members. Got me another DS permanent ban. :(

Removing the opportunity to debate isn’t frustrating the will of the people. It is silencing it.

 

The whole point of the case was that Boris claims prorougation wasn’t about Brexit. He needs to pick one story and run with it rather than be a propoganda machine.

 

There’s a reason he didn’t submit any statements under oath to the court.

I do agree that there are still some who try their best not to get a job or pretend to be ill and prefer to live on benefits all their lives and they should be sanctioned as much as possible. Let's not deny genuinely ill people their livelihoods though. :)

There are lots of Poles, Lithuanians, and other Eastern Europeans that I know who live here - and none of them (unlike you) are claiming benefits - they're working! They're doing jobs that people like you turn down! My sister used to work in 'Housing Options' in a nearby town (Skelmersdale) and I can tell you that none of the Poles, Lithuanians, Latvians, whatever - got 'council' houses (Thatcher had already sold off all the decent ones anyway) they relied on 'private rented' accommodation! She loved dealing with them - because most of them spoke better English (and were more polite) than a lot of the indigenous population!

 

Chris - do yourself a favour and don't read the Mail, Sun, Express - if you really want to learn what's really going on - move up - read the Dandy or the Beano - you'll be better informed!
