There's no thread for this, and given it's getting some decent airplay and up to #35 on iTunes I thought it'd be good to open a thread for the song.

 

This went to #1 in my personal chart a few months ago, such an inspired cover that suits her very well :wub: so happy that it's taking off a bit at last!

Hopefully her album streaming boost is enough to get it top 40 next week, Lust for Life had most of its tracks chart in the top 200 upon release.

It's so silly and fun in comparison to last week's! Perfect timing too with the song kinda building momentum right now.

It's brilliant! Sooooo good to see a more fun and playful side to her character as I think she'd begun to get a little too 'serious artist'.

Kinda got traumatising flashbacks to that giant gingerbread man in Shrek but I agree that it was great to see a more fun side of her!

I really hope this starts making big gains on iTunes again tomorrow now that the weekend is over. It's a shame it doesn't have any playlist support like Love, Lust For Life and Hope did.

 

I can see Radio 1 A listing it on Friday given she's going to #1 and she's in the Live Lounge next week.

I can see this eventually going top 40.

I love both, but Doin Time has a much bigger chance of doing well on streaming, and it's the current single getting great airplay...
