We're delighted to welcome you all back after over two years away, since we co-hosted the semi finals of BJSC97. In the meantime, an alliance with Jadakissnia was formed in the name of one thing. Specifically, one fox (not squirrel, bloomin' cheek!) - Basil Brush. In the name of Basil, we welcome you to BasilJSC for one month only!

 

Guidelines

 

- You will vote only in your semi final, except for Jadakissnia and The Actual Republic of Bellamia who will vote in both.

- Listen to every song in your semi final and rank your top 10, using the Eurovision points system (12 / 10 / 8 / 7 / 6 / 5 / 4 / 3 / 2 / 1).

- PM your votes to me, JosephStyles. Once you have voted, I will colour your country pink below.

- The deadline is Wednesday 25th September 2019 at 23:59 UK time. Please vote on time to make my job easier.

- Late votes before 15:00 on Thursday 26th September will be accepted with a 15% deduction for your entry. Not voting will lead to a 33% deduction for your entry.

- The top 20 songs from each semi final will qualify.

- Results will be promptly on Thursday 26th September, at a time to be confirmed, before we hand over to Jadakissnia for the grand final.

So many artists I know here but the only song I know is Don't Wanna Dance! Interesting to see UNKLE make a return, I've almost definitely heard that song before but don't recognise it.

Already quite a few entries I'm familiar with in this contest, certainly more than usual! Can't believe The HU have ended up in BJSC :lol: but it is my favourite of theirs!

A fair few songs I know already this time including both of the AQs and possibly around 5 songs each in both semis (there are a few that I think I've heard on plug.dj but don't really remember) - Jade's entry this time is a song that I sent to her to begin with so Jadakissnia shall definitely be back in my votes this time, which unfortunately means no repeat win </3 :kink: x

 

Glad to be in the same semi as Terra Avium and Beaverdonia which are some great weird niche songs which I hope can qualify *.* also a lil bit of early hype to Taahino, heard that while I was listening to new entries from the New Alternative 40 chart thing that Whoddy posts in the Indie forum the other day and it is a good one!

 

I think my song looks like it has a pretty great semi-final draw here, hooray. I was actually wondering if Mattias might already know the act I sent as it seems like the kind of thing he might have stumbled across at some point but I trawled his last.fm and couldn't find them there lol so hopefully it'll be a discovery to everyone x (also I'm really bad at predicting which of my entries Mattias will like so cue him not liking this one at all :magic:)

Ffs there's so many pop countries in my semi the one month I don't send novelty or pure pop 😂

Wow, basically everyone who might enjoy my song (even a tiny bit) is in the other semi :mellow: Getting 10+ points in Semi 1 will be a huge achievement... fantastic anniversary.

 

I know quite a lot in semi 1, I was 'this' close to sending 'Why Don't You Just Call Me' last month, hope it'll do well for Vülkyria. Others I know are the entries from Jupiterdonia, Singerpurear, Altyr Muunilinst, Kylienips, Tartford, République d'Áskorza, United States of Jack, Unovia and Holland-Oats (this is definitely a record for me - on the other hand I know only 2 in semi 2 - Dobago and Beaverdonia).
