Out of Shallow's shadow, which of the next two biggest songs from the soundtrack do you prefer?

ARUTW! It's magical in the movie

'Always Remember Us This Way', I was really impressed when I first heard it on the chart show and it only improved with the movie usage :wub:

Always Remember Us This Way... it's definitely one of her strongest ballads, if not the strongest.

 

I'll Never Love Again is good though, just a little more typically big ballad so I'm not quite as fond of it.

If you asked me this a year ago I would’ve said I’ll Never Love Again without hesitating

 

A year on and I’ve grown to love Always Remember Us This Way more because it’s less of a typical “big ballad” and the way it’s used in the film is just stunning. I love both but Always Remember Us This Way is now my favourite of the two.

I'm still surprised by the love ARUTW gets! It's good but I'll Never Love Again is heartbreaking! Such a brilliant song. Maybe the usual tropes of a ballad get to me more than you guys but I have no hesitation in saying I'll Never Love Again is the better song.

Both are incredible ballads but for me the lyrics of ARUTW are more poignant and special. The personal connection jumped out :cry:
