And Thornberry has denied saying any such thing.

There's so much misinformation and scaremongering about Brexit. Corner shop owner last night when I went in said "Hi Chris are you happy then? All the foreigners out after 31st January!" I told him that won't happen at all and neither should it. I don't know where these wrong assumptions are coming from. Was glad there was no-one else in the shop!

Racism played a part in the Brexit and Tory victories eh. Some people really believe brexshit means expelling basically anyone not born here. This is patently wrong.

Of course it's wrong. Maybe Boris should be emphasising that this won't be the case.

If that process can begin and end with the New York-born Boris Johnson, I don't see the problem.

Tricky when so much of the racism has come from him.

You really hate him don't you? :)

And is reportedly taking legal action. It's just one woman's word against another's though isn't it.

Given that its been proven numerous times that lack of education correlated strongly with pro Brexit views and voting, and the adjacent fact that there are yet to be offered *any* tangible benefits of leaving the EU, I don't see anything wrong with the statement.

Yet we're not all lacking in education and wisdom. I mean me and Vid for instance. :)

This isn’t going to get anyone on side...

She's actually taking her to court over it now :(

I think it too but saying it out loud is pointless as everyone is thankfully looked upon as equal and that's the way it is.

According to the 10pm ITV News, Boris is going to make a change to the Brexit bill which makes no deal more likely. :o

EDIT. Apparently the date of 31st December 2020 will be made law so there can be no extension whatsoever no matter how many trade deals have yet to be ratified.

Not a surprise at all. an 11 month negotiation was never even slightly feasible so this was always going to be a stealth no deal. Why else do you think the thick c**ts at the ERG lined up to vote for it?

Rather selfishly, I am past caring about this entire shambles. I'm just hoping that after the UK does *vom* leave the EU on 31st Jan it isn't very long until I get invited to my residency interview here in Germany and can secure my legal status and path to naturalisation. Germany doesn't usually allow dual citizenship with non-EU countries, but that certainly will not be a problem when the time comes.

At least there's going to be certainty. If Labour or a Lab/SNP Coalition was in charge today we'd be having a second referendum and possibly not leaving the EU at all.

Yeah, much better to have the certainty of driving off a cliff if the alternative is the possibility of veering away from it.
