Lmao y'all hiding behind the "we will get banned" excuse.

If you actually went and started a well informed discussion with us, maybe you wouldnt be accused of trolling. Maybe if you stopped playing the so called devils advocate, maybe you wouldnt be accused of trolling. Maybe if you made some points that weren't factually disproven or misproven by just THINKING you wouldnt be accused of trolling

I mean if you can't defend your believes, are they really YOUR believes or are they other peoples believes that you adapted cause you liked the sound of it. Please explain this to me

I assume you mean 'beliefs'.

Anyhow, why can't you just accept these are our beliefs, just as we accept yours?

Ah the old "correct someone's spelling rather than address any of the points raised" schtick.

A bit overdone to be honest.

Exactly. You can't voice your real opinions here or you may get warned or stopped from posting or banned completely. Better to keep quiet I think. It's not just here either. Look at the stick I get here and on my Facebook for supporting Trump yet he was democratically elected and is favourite to win a second term no matter who his opponent is. My lifelong friend that I've known 55 years since first day at school had a right go at me last night over Brexit. He said "I have a business which may go under thanks to twerps like you who just voted because of immigration" so I said "so what, it'll be fine" He hates Boris and Trump too and is a millionaire so we have nothing in common these days.

If, for example, he has a small business which relies on exporting to the EU to make a profit, he is right to be worried. Exporting to the EU, particularly if Johnson is unable to negotiate a trade deal by the end of the year, is about to become a lot more difficult and more expensive.

I assume you mean 'I can't back up what I say so I have to resort to correcting someone, while I perfectly understood what they were trying to say, who has English as their 2nd language to distract from that'

Why I don't just accept that they are "just your views"?

1. You seem to be playing this devils advocate thing a lot

2. If you fail to give reasons for your beliefs other than omg immigrants and omg eu dictators, they might not be as.

3. I like to challenge people on their beliefs. Find out why they think in ways they do, what drives them to their conclusions. Maybe I'll learn a thing or two or get a better understanding of them.

‘These foreigners coming over to our forums and don’t even learn the language properly’

I mean, it’s hardly surprising at this point.

I have *never* used the extreme-right lines of 'foreigners stealing our jobs' or 'foreigners sponging off our dole money'.

Are you seriously claiming the left is more rational, when their ideology has failed to deliver numerous times?

Well, with respect, 1. what do you mean by delivering, and 2. Can you give me some examples of when rightwing ideology has been successful at delivering something?

The trouble is its quite difficult to have a discussion properly between perspectives when yourself and Chris tend to just give responses like "well isn't it obvious?" or "obviously leftwing XYZ is worse" without going further into it.

If you did actually explain some examples, I mighr agree with you - but I can't conclude so with no information or case studies.

Off the top of my head, the NHS is a leftwing enterprise and the value it delivers is a healthier society with less chance of any of us being menaced by epidemics because of early preventative care.

So what are some rightwing examples and what were their positive results, please?

I assume you meant "might".

Universities and Science Minister Chris Skidmore has said that the UK will not implement the EU Copyright Directive, Article 13, after the country leaves the EU.

Several companies have criticised the law, which would hold them accountable for not removing copyrighted content uploaded by users, if it is passed.

EU member states have until 7 June 2021 to implement the new reforms, but the UK will have left the EU by then.

The UK was among 19 nations that initially supported the law.

That was in its final European Council vote in April 2019.

'Terrible for the internet'

Copyright is the legal right that allows an artist to protect how their original work is used.

The EU Copyright Directive that covers how "online content-sharing services" should deal with copyright-protected content, such as television programmes and movies.

It refers to services that primarily exist to give the public access to "protected works or other protected subject-matter uploaded by its users", such as Soundcloud, Dailymotion and YouTube.

It was Article 13 which prompted fears over the future of memes and GIFs - stills, animated or short video clips that go viral - since they mainly rely on copyrighted scenes from TV and film.

Critics claimed Article 13 would make it nearly impossible to upload even the tiniest part of a copyrighted work to Facebook, YouTube, or any other site.

However, specific tweaks to the law in 2019 made memes safe "for purposes of quotation, criticism, review, caricature, parody and pastiche".

Prime Minister Boris Johnson criticised the law in March, claiming that it was "terrible for the internet".

That's funny given the most unprovoked violence usually comes from dumbasses with right-wing views.

And when has anyone from the liberal side of thing EVER said that?! We have to stand up against people who try to control our own lives (who to marry, be able to get an abortion, be ourselves in public, not get in trouble for our skin colour, etc.) EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.

Gosh this "watered down" comment makes it sound like your REAL opinions are especially outrageously. Scary stuff.

Ok so I work in the council housing sector and today at 5pm the end of the day a family of 2 adults and 4 kids came in who had Come from Italy 5 days ago & been staying in a local B&B but want to stay here now and Presented for accommodation - because they had kids they had to be placed in temp accommodation at least for the weekend until we can assess if they are eligible and whether they had accommodation in Italy - brexiteers would have a field day in my job!! No plan of where they were going to stay and even claimed to not have hardly any money.

Chris and Vidcapper can make what they like of this.....

Sajid Javid has unveiled the new commemorative 50p coin to mark Britain's departure from the EU on 31 January.

The chancellor originally ordered production of the celebratory coins in advance of the original departure date of 31 October.

But the Brexit delay meant around a million coins had to be melted down and the metal put aside until a new exit date was confirmed.

One side will say "Peace, Prosperity and Friendship with all nations"

What a waste of time and resources that no one asked for or wants.

I have a feeling that wont be true for us Leavers.

Are you trying to say that the real reason you wanted out was so that these pointless 50p pieces could exist?

Trust me, I’m sure very few leavers even care about having a commemorative 50p.

How is it that I can’t understand this discussion despite being part of it?

1. Why didn’t you answer my question?

2. More leavers wanting a 50p than remainers doesn’t mean that a large proportion of leavers actually care about this part of the process. And I don’t recall any argument for leaving the EU involving ‘if we leave we can have new 50ps!’

Because obviously the real reason was not the coins!

No-one? Have you asked every single person in the UK? I think it's a great idea actually.
