I got back from work at 10. Other half was watching it on his laptop in the living room, I just glared at the screen, took a bottle wine, a glass and went into the other room. :lol:

I’m currently 7 years until naturalisation but I’m going to take an integration course with all the refugees to knock that down a year. Need to check if the B2 certification is an additional year or part of the same packaged that knocks a year off for the integration course. I’d love to get it down to 5 years but 6 will do

My guess is that Silas best bet would be just to keep an eye on the independence movement and see which is likely to happen first...German citizenship or Scotland becoming an independent state and then an EU nation.

 

The only thing with Germany is I'm pretty sure they don't allow dual nationality(please correct me Silas or anybody else if I'm wrong on this).

 

I'm suprised the UK does to be honest, but when the time comes where I'm eligible for Icelandic citizenship and if I'm in a position where I can only have one, I know which one I'll choose - Takk fyrir! B-)

I was born here, it’s been a lifelong ambition of mine to have German citizenship. When and Independent Scotland joins the EU I look forward to my dual nationality. I hope the Scottish EU passport is a giant blue saltire with a massive unicorn on the front surrounded by the EU stars to really f*** off the few rabid brexiteers that are left alive

She said we won't get any good trade deals as Boris will want to rush the negotiations before Dec.31st. and the EU won't give us any special treatment. Germany allows dual citizenship only where it is impossible to relinquish your current nationality (some countries don’t allow it) or it is prohibitive costs wise or your other nationality is that of another EU state

Be disgusted all you want, she was speaking facts. 11 months is no time at all to rewrite our entire trading relationship with Europe. It took Canada nearly a decade and they’ve a far far far smaller volume of trade than we do. The only thing you can do in 11 months is a bad deal.
