Love that there is an actual chart battle - James had a signing at HMV today and put signed CDs on his website which have sold out, Foals have restocked the picture disc vinyl on their website and added thank you notes to them plus signed CDs etc.,

Presuming you mean James?

James closing the gap by about 400 in 2 days, at that rate he will be ahead on Friday but only just. I'm not sure who I'm even supporting in this battle, I'd like Foals to have a #1 album but I'm not really feeling their 2019 output much, I like 'Empty Space' more than I like any 2019 Foals song so I actually wouldn't mind James getting there
How many of these 'Gold' compilations are being churned out lmao? It's the same label doing all of them as well.

I think if i added correctly 21 already though the first few were labelled as The Gold Collection

It is a close battle for Number 1 album, both have underwhelming sales which is disappointing.

I would welcome Maroon 5 to make the Top 10 and The Script to hold their Top 40 position.

Blackbear has climbed 1 place and I'm ready for this.
Foals have announced a show at Banquet Records (1,000 capacity) - ‘tickets’ went on sale at 9.30 and buy a CD or Vinyl gets you entry, good move from them!

thats a smart one I never heard before

DM should do at least 78-80k again with missing data & two more days sales. Good to see The Script continue to rise!

Keep going Foals! Ed should easily make no3 at least.

I'd love the script to stay top 40, streaming is really working against them but its doing considering.

Could Dance Monkey survive at Number 1 on ACR?

It would have been #1 even on ACR last week but presumably by the time it goes to ACR something will be sufficiently close that that would no longer be the case.

It will be interesting to see if a song ever manages - that would be true popularity! Hopefully the first won't be a Christmas song...

It has happened already ('Despacito' did it more than once I believe, and 'Three Lions' defying the 3 year rule ofc).

So it would! By a margin of 191 copies, but still...

Looking back, this was last true for 7 Rings in its opening week, and also for Sweet But Psycho the week before.
