How many times has Boris and others said that they have no intention whatsoever of privatising the NHS? No government of any colour would dare to do it.

Just because they say they won't do it doesn't mean they won't...

The simple minded troll at it again. 70% of NHS contracts were awarded to the rich chums of the Tories last yesr. No beds free in the north west, a woman forced to sleep on the floor with cancer, etc, etc. They are just following to the letter the evil, corrupt, money-obsessed Jeremy Hunt plan for privatisation. You know, the plan he wrote up years ago. Oh, unelected shadow pm Cummings said the Tories don't give a shit about the nhs, and he would know. It is obvious.
Do you lot want my unbiased verdict?

It wasn't one one our PM's best performances but he wisely deflected the question about austerity. He did okay for a live debate though.

I admit that Corbyn was good but Swinson was awful. Didn't see Sturgeon as was watching Coronation Street.

The PM should not be deflecting questions about government policy and its effects. At least Swinson answered questions about that even though she hasn’t been on the government benches for almost four years.

I think Boris has some magic beans you might be interested in buying.

The NHS has now overtaken Brexshit as the most important issue in the election, just as we all knew it would. It makes that terrible Tory Cummings slogan even worse! This is exactly what happened to Mad May too. I hope the commentators now stop repeating Tory propaganda by calling it a brexshit election.

300k people registered to vote after Tory Tory, the largest sudden boost in history, including 200k under 35s. The Tory polls are struggling ro account for the 1.3 million influx of voters of predominantly under 35s and of people who have never voted before, or rarely. Compare that to the fact the Tory numbers are based on all the Brexshit voters actually coming out to vote for them after the Farage fiasco.

This election is going eerily similar to 2017. The focus of the election being changed from Brexit and being focused more so on local issues. This is going to hurt the Tories and boost Labour. Especially with the large surge in people under 35 registering to vote.

The polls in the coming days/week are going to be quite interesting. I assume we'll see a rise in labour and a fall in the conservatives.

Not necessarily. The fake polls last time still had Mad May down for "the largest Tory majority since Thatcher" on the eve of the election  They are tools for swaying public opinion.

There may be a temporary one, for the period after the Lab manifesto comes and before the Tory one does.

I think the affect of new voters may be exaggerated.

Say 300k new voters, lets say 60% turnout, and 60% of *those* vote Lab, that gives 108,000. Dividing that by 650 constituencies gives just 166 each. Even allowing an extremely generous 70/70 gives just 226 each...

There are 1.3 million new voters since the start of the campaign. There were 700k last time, and they turned the tide against the Tories. Also, seeing as Labour was 2k votes shy off denying Mad May ecen thr possibility of lying to the queen and then scrabbling to form a billion pound bribe, every little helps, soooo yeaaah.
Looks as though the Conservative Manifesto has launched. Bit late here or I'd put up that thread, but all I can say is that their headline promises are stuff they've spent 9 years not doing - anyone expecting that to change is a mug.

Dear Christopher,

Better hospitals. Safer streets. World-class schools. Let’s get Brexit done so we can deliver our manifesto.

Parliament spent the last three years going round in circles – and getting nothing done.

You’re frustrated. I get it. So am I.

Why are Labour promising the chaos of a second referendum – when there are people waiting three weeks for a GP appointment?

Why are the Lib Dems fixated on the past – when there are people who don’t feel safe on their streets?

Why are politicians still bickering – when there are kids in schools being left behind?

Our manifesto is a guarantee to you. No more uncertainty. No more arguments. We’ll get Brexit done with our deal – and get on with the country’s priorities.

Our deal is ready to go. And every single one of our candidates has pledged to vote for it. That’s because it protects jobs and trade. And it means we can get on with the country’s priorities.

£33.9 billion extra for the NHS and 50 million more GP appointments. So you can see a doctor when you need to, not three weeks after you need to.

20,000 more police and tougher sentencing for criminals. So no matter where you live, you can feel safe when you walk home at night.

More funding for every pupil in every school. So every single child gets a better education, no matter where they go to school.

An Australian-style points-based immigration system. So we can take back control of our borders.

Cutting your taxes. So we can help cut your cost of living.

Labour's manifesto would unleash more arguments. Our manifesto will unleash Britain’s potential. So why not take a look – and share it with a friend?

Yours Sincerely,

Your Prime Minister

Boris Johnson.

Oh he’s even irritating and moronic in writing.

Surely once Brexit is out of the way, they'll have more time for everything else - a working majority would help too.

I like the little touches such as addressing me by my first name and saying "Your" Prime Minister. Making people feel important.

According to a Tweet I posted last night from a guy at ITV News that's just not true as they're still mostly interested in Brexit. Sky News still call it "The Brexit election" despite being criticised by Labour for this.

Received many campaign leaflets?

Just 2 so far here, Greens & LD's - nothing from Lab or Tories.

You really will fall for anything, won’t you?

None at all. Mind you with one of the safest majorities in the country I doubt Labour will bother. and the others may not see the point either.
