It's only the SNP and Sturgeon who want another referendum. The Scots mostly don't. They've had one and voted remain. They don't need another and Boris will be right to refuse one.

By the end of this parliament it will be a decade since the referendum and there will have been a huge change since then. If the snp win 55 seats they will have a strong mandate to call for one and the pressure will be on Johnson to give a reason why they can't have one. If you want democracy you have to understand the effects of your actions and the actions of the past 10 years have shown how undemocratic an English dominated Westminster government is for the rest of the UK.

Yep. I think this is the beginning of the end. When the Tory party let everybody down and cause many more deaths people may start to wake up, then we can start to rebuild this country and get away from extremist right wing racism, but it will take a decade at least.

It'll be like 1935 again!!

Mark Francois on here saying that the labour northern wall seats is like the Berlin Wall falling in 1989 😴

Either there'll be civil unrest or huge brain drain. If Brexit comes, its not the old folk are not going to win supermarket fights for food and folk in rural areas won't get priority rations. Turkeys voting for the oven.

Clueless f***ing donkey. You’ve f*** all idea what the people of Scotland think. The SNP have won every single election held here since 2011, they’re polling at 40+% after being in power since 2007. We know what we want and what we want is the f*** away from eejits like you voting to f*** yourself and millions of others.

I think we'll need to hit rock bottom before we can come back. This election seems like it's definitely starting, the Brexit deal will probably go through next year and I have no doubt it will be an absolute disaster and the Tories will lose support, we could then see Labour or maybe another left-wing party rise from the ashes to offer an alternative that I'd hope that a lot of this new generation would be open to...History often repeats itself and I see no reason why it can't here, it's the one optimistic vision I have right now.

Yet at the last referendum you voted to remain the UK. Oh and donkeys are lovely gentle creatures. :)

Commons may sit Saturday 21st. :o Boris determined to get Brexit through. 4am to 4.30 for Boris's seat declaration.

We need brexit to happen for people to see that it isn't a magical remedy. Only then will the country return to normal.

Which I've railed against for so long because I do genuinely believe it'll be the end of the union and the end of our best deal possible in relationship with the EU27, that we will never get back. But you're right. It needs to happen for people to see just how bad things can get.

Speculation on DS that many of these votes that have helped them take these seats are only temporary because of Brexit. If it's a disaster and the economy and housing market crashes then they'll move back to Labour or LD in 2024. I agree with that.

They were told that voting No to independence was the only way of staying in the EU.

If the Tories get a majority like the Exit Poll suggests there’s no way Scotland is getting an independence referendum.

I still think another referendum would result in them voting to stay. Let them have one then.

Leaving somebody else to clear up the huge mess the Tories will have created.

If the SNP are like the exit poll then I can't see things going well there. Possibility of it even going like Catalonia.

Huge problem with our election system allowing a party even the possibility of even having an unchallenged mandate. Parts of the country get left behind.
A majority that big is an end to devolution full stop. The Welsh and Scottish government exists purely as an act of parliament. We are facing a very very dangerous constitutional future

Would you be saying that if Labour won an 86 seat majority tonight?
