Epic start for a live album for Kylie considering her last two peaked at #72 and #26 - expecting it to fade away but 25th Top 40

Album is on its way :cheer:

It is a good start, the slight worry is many of the fans would have this ordered from the site or pre ordered via Amazon etc and today's position would count in those sales.

Based on that, i would hope the sales don't fall completely off as we progress through the week.

It’s was 100 in yesterday’s sales so it isn’t gonna get many mid week sales at all

Ideally, we would know the sales difference between Number 12 and 20.

If her lead was strong, it might be enough to achieve that Top 20 position, if sales were to fall through the remainder of the week which is a possibility.

Great sales and position for Golden Live so far! If it sells the same rate for the rest of the week, it would be on 7.3k which was enough for Top 20 last week. Probably won't make it but Top 30 seems likely and I'm just happy she'll achieve a 25th Top 40 album!

The first week sales for previous live albums:

17,265 Showgirl: Homecoming Live (#7, 2007)

5,870 Aphrodite Les Folies: Live in London (#72, 2011)

3,821 Kiss Me Once: Live at the SSE Hydro (#26, 2015)

Already outsold Aphrodite! :o That's so good! I thought it had sold about 7-8k.

I must be blind as im not seeing how much its sold so far?

12 (NEW) Golden - Live

Sales: 5,947

Yesterday: 339

Ranked yesterday: 100

CD: 5,820

Digital: 117

Streams: 10

Good opening sales then, thought the other two had opened bigger! The £9.99 price tag must be really helping buck the market trend of declining sales. Perhaps why there’s no blu ray....they’re more expensive to produce and buy and they don’t think it’s commercially viable.

Aphrodite deserved better it was a great release, don't know why it sold so less than other live releases. I did love the homecoming cd release aswell. Hopefully we get another midweek update today.

I am hopeful of a midweek update today.

I agree about Aphrodite, the package and presenting was strong and yet it just fell unnoticed.

Kylie was also popular through that period.

#15 today, another 370 copies sold to take this week's total to 6,317.

About 1.2k ahead of #20, but 1.9k ahead of #21 and 2.3k ahead of #23.

That is good for today, better than i thought it might be.

The sales gap between Kylie and Number 20 is a little too close for comfort.

I do think Liam Payne will fall harder than Kylie for the remainder of the week.

Liam won't fall behind Kylie, he's too far ahead and is outselling her twice as much. Golden Live is the second worst selling in the Top 40 as of the last update.
Pleased she added a decent amount. 7000 for the week would be a decent return.

The sales were always going to trail off for Kylie, considering what the release is.

I think i can speak for most of us in the forum and say from a sales perspective it has done better than we expected this week.

I'm still happy with how it's going, I'd love it to stay top 20.
