Looks like Dua was just made 59p this week so just a temporary boost on iTunes, she has a pretty clear streaming disadvantage against Stormzy and Lewis. Not impossible that she could sneak #1 at some point still though.

Oh, the original by John Farnham is my favourite of the 80s power ballads and it was great seeing it on TOTP reruns on BBC4 quite recently, this new version isn't too bad but doesn't quite have the emotion of the original!

Well I am not a big fan of it sadly, on first listens Mabel wins the new Christmas song battle easily for me (not that any of them are that great I think).

Would be nice to see 'Lucid Dreams' making a return to the chart in tribute - of course will have a stronger impact on streaming than sales.

 

The first song I thought of as an appropriate 'tribute song' for him was this one though, sadly very relevant and tragic lyrics in retrospect:

Weirdly there's no sign of 'Lucid Dreams' anywhere, has to be a mistake though I'm not sure if that's with Apple Music or Kworb (it's the same in the US, no sign of 'Lucid Dreams' but 'Bandit' is already back up 21 places to #6 there so it has to be close if not already #1 again).

 

He already had 'Lucid Dreams' at #178 in yesterday's Spotify update obviously just from residual streams from well before he passed away. It's also now up to #48 on iTunes.

Decent progress being made by Mabel (23) & Robbie Williams (65) on iTunes but LM are nowhere to be seen?!
