What do we think is actually gonna happen tomorrow?

The chart show will go on air at about 4pm and they’ll play some of the songs in the top 40 before announcing the number one. :D

Just the usual then? Will be weird as most radio stations stop playing Xmas songs on Boxing Day afternoon!

Got an extra 15 minutes tomorrow, from 4pm to 6pm, no newsbeat at 5:45pm.
They'll give it to Stormzy.

This :( They literally changed the rules of the ENTIRE chart to srop Mariah from getting no.1 and just gifted it to Ava Maz last year too.

I mean specifically, who do we expect will actually get the number one?

It'll be a fascinating afternoon to see if they play the normal chart and also to see who gets no1!

Ellie?

what a stupid comment to say "they'll give it to stormy"

the #1 will be the one that does more, if you think the charts are rigged, don't follow them, that's it

I used to like Grey's anatomy, don't watch it anymore cos I lost interest, but I don't go to the Grey's anatomy forum and

start rambling that the show is shit, that's a childish attitude, I just don't watch, that's it

Ava was the right #1 last year cos she did more than Mariah that's it, and that's backed up by data

not by silly conspiracy theories. If something the occ gave too few streams to Ava.

Michael has so many conspiracy theories that I just smile at them now.

Didn’t realise Ellie will be limited on playlist but still think it’s crazy a song from the 90s can potentially reach no1 due to streaming. It’s just obscure and would never have happened prior to the streaming era. At least Ellie is a new track albeit a cover!

Rage Against The Machine got the number one before the streaming age. Elvis had 3 from 2005. Mariah is also celebrating the 25th anniversary this year so there is extra visibility.

Streaming did not introduce old songs gaining new peaks. Regardless of the method of music consumption, if it is the most listened to song of the week then it deserves the top chart position regardless of its age.

This time next week Stormzy will be top and everyone outside this chart community will have moved on.

If Mariah did end up getting the spot every year, I imagine people will start campaigns against it and then that’s more exciting for me as a chart follower. Bring on the anti Mariah buzzjack campaigns! Lisa Scott Lee’s time will come

Tramp, you did NOT just call me stupid!!

The fact is the OCC CHANGED THE ENTIRE RULES OF THE CHART to keep Mariah from no.1. Then, when it didn't work, they just nade up some figures to give some random song the no.1 instead of her. The arbitrary rules themselves are chart fixing before you even take into account their made-up Thursday sales, which massively go against Mariah on purpose, and which they make up in such a way that she falls short by a hundred copies. Shenanigans.
