Since some people have received their albums early, will this still count for debut week sales or not?

 

Yeah; I think it's mostly only international sellers who have theirs. Mine in the U.K. were only despatched today. They're sent out so that they can arrive on release Friday.

I went to my local record store today and they had copies of both Confetti and Kylie's new album for sale. I assume they've put them out to get some last minute sales before all the shops close, but surely these would count for this weeks chart?

Would OCC not just add them to next week? They seem relaxed enough to do something like that. Unlike Billboard, which I believe always add sales to the previous week if they ship early etc.

If they're just out on the shelves for sale, then I would say it would count towards this weeks sales? But I imagine that's a very, very small number, considering there's penalties in place for businesses that break release dates. I doubt anyone would risk it. (Well, any other people other than that one store)
