It seems a trend in the dance music industry is to remake a single to mark its 20 year anniversary of its original release.

With that in mind, what songs from the year 2000 would you like to see produced in 2020?

For reference, here is the Top 100 singles of the year.

I’m predicting sometime this year we see some new production of Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love) by Spiller and Sandstorm by Darude.

I'd love to hear updated versions of Sandstorm, Silence and Kernkraft 400 looking at that list.

Toca's Miracle to actually get an official digital release for its 20th anniversary would be lovely too.

I am imagining a Camelphat style tech-house 2020 remix of Toca's Miracle now.

2000 was one of the best years for dance music in the charts ever so there is a substantial list of dance songs they could remix from that year.

tbh whatever gets remade will end up getting slater either by Buzzjack or the General public unless it’s made by a current rising producer

like imagine if someone other than darude remade sandstorm. the GP (especially gatekeeping dance enthusiasts on youtube) would smell blood in the water

Chicane feat. Bryan Adams - Don't Give It Up

it would be better if he would come back to his old style stuff like this or Saltwater or Offshore.

Can't find a more appropriate thread and I don't think it's significant enough to create a new thread, but the 20th anniversary remixes for Madison Avenue's 'Don't Call Me Baby' has put it on top of the Upfront Club and Commercial Pop charts. It originally topped both charts in 2000 and new mixes in 2014 saw it return to the top of the latter chart again (and #3 on the former). The song has sold over 450k, according to Music Week.

This isn’t quite the 20 year treatment, but rather the 30 year treatment, as Kaskade brings out a new single on Friday called 1990 which in part has a sample of Snap’s The Power.
