February 26, 20205 yr What’s the Destiny’s Child sample? Is it the “Where You At” part? Yeah that part. I think it was from their 2004 hit "Soldier"
February 26, 20205 yr Yeah that part. I think it was from their 2004 hit "Soldier" I’ve listened to it again, and I see the part you mean, it could be taken from there maybe. I mean it’s just 3 words.
February 28, 20205 yr i love this! it is a bop - not sure what people are expecting from mabel. she + the label know that she’s a bop machine + not offering anything too deep. she does what she’s supposed to + she does it well!
February 28, 20205 yr This is dire. I thought she was a promising artist after Finders Keepers and DCMU. But these recent releases are bland af. I can't see her going the same way as Dua if her music doesn't improve.
February 28, 20205 yr On second listen I have to admit I'm finding this a bit of a bop. I just want better from her as I know she's capable of it. At least it seems to be another song added to the album to keep the streams going. Hopefully she'll have something a bit more original up her sleeve when she does start a new era.
February 28, 20205 yr she will never start a new era, she will keep adding songs to this one forever, same as Jax Jones :D
February 28, 20205 yr I was underwhelmed at first but I'm already really digging this  basic anthem
March 4, 20205 yr I don't understand the near unanimous disdain for this. It's quintissentially a Mabel song in the sense that it's a bop but nothing groundbreaking. If anything, 'Mad Love' is the weakest link in her most recent discography for me (Xmas track aside b/c I have no idea how that goes). Of her singles, I'd actually rank this second to only 'Fine Line'. Ooops. Edited March 4, 20205 yr by Defaze
March 5, 20205 yr I actually think this is better than 'Don't Call Me Up' and 'Mad Love' tbh! :o ... With the caveat that I disliked both of those songs. And this one is not good either. x I don't understand the near unanimous disdain for this. Ooops. I kind of get what you mean here but her earlier singles definitely had at least a little more substance to them than the mindless vapidity of stuff like this and 'Mad Love'. 'Fine Line' was actually a legit great song and it's not like it wasn't a hit.
March 9, 20205 yr Too early to tell! Debuting Top 30 is pretty decent I would say, I think it'll probably do similar to 'God Is A Dancer' eventually - at absolute best it might be a low Top 10 for her.
March 10, 20205 yr it's climbing everywhere and the support also far hasn't been that big, so I think top 20 is for certain I still find it one of the weakest singles to date, the post-chorus where you at part is what I like the least and they pay lots of $ to get the sample and then it's under-used in the song
March 12, 20205 yr This is really grown on me this week and it’s now probably my second favourite of hers just behind ‘fine line.’
March 15, 20205 yr This has grown a lot. Not ground breaking or anything but a BOP. And it’s the kind of stuff I miss in the charts tbh. So I’m hoping it can become a hit. It sounds like something Little Mix could get away with. Edited March 15, 20205 yr by Jordan Lee
March 15, 20205 yr kinda like this! it's not amazing by any means but it's not too bad. that marlena shaw sample tho!
March 15, 20205 yr Deleted my comment. Was in bad taste and no need to raise that subject here. Sorry. Can moderators delete this post and Jack's quote of it below. Edited March 15, 20205 yr by The S***e
