January 29, 20206 yr Ode To Joy is #22 and Dominic Frisby is #38 in today’s update! I really hope that the tracks which are #41 and #42 this week are tracks which have already made the top 40. It would be gutting for a musician to miss out on a top 40 hit because of these campaigns, particularly in the case of Frisby's "song".
January 29, 20206 yr If Lewis or Weeknd gets #1 on Friday, I want Roddy to get it next week. Roddy should get it by this Friday once the missing streaming is factored in Edited January 29, 20206 yr by Hadji
January 29, 20206 yr Oh is that just early or was it officially released this week? thought he would do a lot more. He did 10k apx with the last release although I know sales have reduced again since then. Came out on Monday apparently, four days early.
January 29, 20206 yr Fingers crossed Blinding Lights makes it; would be the best Number 1 for some considerable time
January 29, 20206 yr What an awful group of new entries we're set for in the singles chart this week, at leats most will likely be flushed out next week
January 29, 20206 yr Blinding Lights pls come on!!! I’m a fan of Lewis too but The Weeknd deserves a UK #1 to his name.
January 29, 20206 yr the two Brexit songs must be doing well somewhere else other than iTunes, cos what they're doing there is nowhere near enough to be top 40, especially Frisby who sure has not done more than 3k on iTunes

Most of those will be on iTunes. I'd say they've both quite easily surpassed 3k on iTunes - the big jumps account for quite a notable increase in downloads. Other platforms are surely helping but it's not that unbelievable.
January 29, 20206 yr You just know the brexiter loons will be raging about a bbc conspiracy come Friday. Mark my words.
January 29, 20206 yr I have no idea if this is where I’d ask this but does anyone know if Watermelon Sugar had radio AirPlay?? Harry has been photographed today filming a music video that would appear (based on visuals) to be for watermelon sugar. Now I don’t think it has yet been released as a single as I’m pretty sure it hasn’t had radio AirPlay, where as others think that it has...can anyone clarify please?? I don’t even know if I’m asking the right question... Edited January 29, 20206 yr by TinyDancer

Not sure about elsewhere, but in the UK it’s not had any airplay. Only Lights Up and Adore You have been radio singles. Watermelon Sugar has done really well for a promo song, so it makes sense to upgrade it to single #3.

January 29, 20206 yr Eminems physical is officially released 31st however as the download is already out some shops probably think they can sell it for that reason. HMV sometimes do that anyway. However i can confirm i have been in 3 different hmv stores this week and not seen eminem in teh cd racks at all.
January 29, 20206 yr I quite like the idea of 1 for and 1 against brexit songs charting. Reminds me of when Maggie Thatcher died
January 29, 20206 yr I quite like the idea of 1 for and 1 against brexit songs charting. Reminds me of when Maggie Thatcher died Yeh it's an important moment culturally and politically and would be nice to be represented in the chart this week.
