January 30, 20206 yr That's really annoying, Lewis should've pushed more in the last couple of days. At least Blinding Lights is pretty good!
January 30, 20206 yr I hope Weeknd can manage it, the missing sales data will be the key issue surely
January 30, 20206 yr Poor Lewis :( He would have got number one anyway had he not realised before you go on a Tuesday?
January 30, 20206 yr Was kinda hoping we wouldn't get mids today make the chart more dramatic but yeah Lewis you tried but you should have tried sooner, DEMI unlikely to go top 40 this week wonder if she will go top 75
January 30, 20206 yr Well, appears Lewis actually isn't pushing much today on social media after all (apart from one Facebook post that doesn't seem to have really had much impact). Really not sure why not! But yeah, looks like it will be The Weeknd at #1 now. Yay ~ I remember a while back I was trying to think of big artists of the last decade or so that haven't had a #1 yet and The Weeknd was one of the few I could think of, and probably the biggest - not sure who would now take that 'honour'? Billie Eilish and Cardi B come to mind first but neither have been around for as long as The Weeknd has. May be forgetting obvious people. x edit: Travis Scott and Selena Gomez as well who have been around a bit longer
January 30, 20206 yr Lewis must have conceded after looking at those mids, don't see how he can possibly catch up to The Weeknd now.
January 30, 20206 yr Tbf its Lewis fault for pushing this hard this late into the songs life, he should have done it a few weeks ago
January 30, 20206 yr The OCC are coming to swoop in and inflate some fake sales for Lewis tomorrow you all know it
January 30, 20206 yr Blinding Lights would be such a fab #1 and The Weeknd finally getting one too would be amazing to see. Surely he's got this now?! *.* And we'd get the added bonus of stopping another pedestrian Lewis Capaldi song from reaching #1 ;o
